I bought this vacuum as a stop-gap because we had some major building work done, and I didn't want to ruin my main vacuum with all the dust and debris. We also just had new carpets fitted, and I needed something reliable to keep them clean.​I've been using a cordless Dyson for the last few years, and I can honestly say this Amazon Basics vacuum easily outperforms it. The suction power is incredible, and it picked up so much more from my new carpets than I thought it would.​For the price, this is an absolute bargain. It's also surprisingly lightweight and very easy to maneuver around furniture. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and affordable vacuum.

What a wonderful hoover. I am 70 and had a Henry hoover which was so heavy. This hoover is light strong and sturdy. The suction is so strong on Max it really is stronger than my Henry but if you have a a fine carpet you can turn the suction down. The price of £50 is incredibleThank you Amazon this piece of engineering really lifted my spirits

Good little hoover and quite powerful suction. Very easy to use and not to heavy. Works well on carpet and wooden flooring.

Love the vacuum cleaner, initially bought it so I could leave upstairs so I would not have to bring it up and down, but it's so light I now use it both up and downstairs, I know the bag is very small but worth it, can easily vacuum the whole house and not have to empty. I have now purchased a second one but couldn't get the same one and this is bag less.Still excellent.Please note power cord short .

Pleasantly surprised with this cleaner, small but powerful, multi tools to clean every place and surface, for the money it is a real bargain, the length of hose and power lead make it easy to use, very happy with this purchase

I’m really surprised by how good this little vacuum is.Does it feel super high quality? Of course not, but it’s decent, structurally sound and well built.It comes with two head attachments and three detail tools that all work well.It’s easy to empty and easy to wash the filter;What really impressed me is the suction. It’s so strong it partially lifts my carpet up.It’s got more power than my two precious “branded” vacuums.It’s light enough to pull around but sturdy enough that it doesn’t tip over.It holds quite a lot of dirt.The buttons for starting /stopping and cable pulling are both sturdy and easy to tap either way your foot.All in all, it’s really good value for money!

I have to say I was a bit skeptical of the product initially just because of the length of time it took to arrive. Hence thr 4 stars. The ETA kept changing and delaying, I was about to complain when I noted dispatched on the tracker and when it came, I was quick to test it out and honestly, I can say it is as good as it claims to be. I mean it is not a Henry or Dyson, but on a budget it gets the job done. It is NOT for heavy duty cleaning, but for quick job around the house or to clean out car. It is easy to use, because of its built, light not too heavy. Has sufficient power to suck out dust. I am not have been hoovering with it for the past few days and it still has not been emptied, so has good storage capacity.
