Aquacera Pioneer SS Gravity Water Filter with 2 7 inch CeraMetix Filters and SS Spigot

I bought this water purifier to use in my RV originally. But then, our water district municipal supply became contaminated from surface water so I brought it in the house and have been using it to furnish all of my drinking water for the last couple of months. It makes more than enough water for my wife and I and our 3 grand children when they visit. I am a board member on our local municipal water district and I understand lab reports so I researched the aquaCera before I purchased it. My water is safe, good tasting, and plentiful. My unit sits on a counter-top and I use it to fill 2.5 and 3 gallon water jugs. I dispense it with a hand pump. A large pitcher in the fridge keeps my water ice cold.

More respectable company than Berkey. After much research, Berkey was almost my choice. However, I learned their fluoride filter can leak harmful materials into water and does not work well. Found this based on Chris Master John review and am very satisfied.

This was not in stock on amazon when I ordered it so I got it elsewhere about 7 months ago. After extensive research, I opted for this over the big name brand due to price, and the fact that the other company makes a lot of guarantees without the proof to back it up. This product produces clean clear tasting water, and we have very hard, sometimes orange water from our tap. ceramic filters have noneeded to be changed yet. I am so glad i went with the pioneer!!

Works fine though beware if you happen to drop the lid onto a hard surface the little plastic handle/knob might break on you if it lands on it.. in the end these are overpriced inexpensive sheet metal that could sell for a lot less.. I pity the fool who spends even more to get the big berkey versions. :)

We liked Alexapure better---after reviewing the list of contaminants removed by their filter.

Did not improve the taste of my well water at all. Ended up with a cheaper pitcher filtration system that did a better job. Wish I could have returned it, but obviously had already used it.

Let me start by saying the water tastes great and the unit seems well constructed.I am a little unhappy about the description saying it includes two filters (which it does), leading me to believe I can use one filter now and the other one later. Such is not the case, because I was only provided with two rubber plugs- and I got no reply when I emailed the seller to request another plug. The spigot is also a joke. They could really throw us a bone by charging a little more and including a spigot that allows more than a trickle to escape its clutches. Also, the instructions say to sterilize the unit, yet when I emailed customer service to ask if that meant boiling it, they said just to use soap and water. That is not sterilizing; that is simply washing.All-in-all, I'm happy with the water, but unhappy with the description, spigot, and misleading instructions.

This is a fantastic product. We really like not having to lug around and buy filtered water from the store. Only wish this unit also came with a filter that removes floride, as well as a stronger faucet.
