I hadn’t heard of blue squid before until now so I was excited to try these paints out as I’ve always used Mehron but I have to say I’m so in love with these blue squid paints, the palette is so light weight which is easy to travel with for those who travel for work as a face painter etc so I like that fact as my mehron palette is really big and bulky and heavy and not practical for travelling with. These paints were so easy to use and very pigmented and easy to work with, same for removing them they were so easy to remove with no residue left behind. I will note that some shades will stain but that depends on your skin type and where you place the paint everybody is different so you may stain but then you may not so just bare that in mind. But other than that these paints are incredible and I’ve been using these over my mehron paints since I’ve had this palette. The other nice touches I like is that you can remove the paint pans and they have clear plastic lids over each shade which I like to use as a mixing palette as you can mix these paints to achieve your desired colour you are looking for. Overall a great product and I highly recommended them.

As a guy who doesn't have much experience of applying one's own make-up, this was very easy to get to grips with! You do have to apply it in layers (and not use too much water), preferably with a sponge, but once done it looked really good and didn't rub off too much over 4 hours of dancing in a warm space. Didn't have any trouble washing off with soap & water. A really good buy.

Great face paint, swim team wore it for inter- counties and it stayed on all day, even in the water! Came off really easily with soap and water (all one girl who painted her entire face with it, did need the help of a make up wipe, but no one was left green for school the following day!

I have no experience of face paint at all so was nervous about how this will look. This paint is lovely to use- I applied it with a wet Make-up sponge and it went on really nicely. No streaking or blotching. Also very easy to clean off. Only note of caution- the clue is in the name, it is a very dark shade of gold, with more of an aged, bronze hue than a bright, yellow gold. More like brass. But it will still be fantastic for shading and adding depth of colour to my look.

Amazing colour and coverage, lasted a full school day as The Lorax. Came off really easily with soap and water with nothing left behind.

(Used Classic Pink) Real unbelievable coverage. I'm a novice at face paints, only really doing them for halloween. I have purchased snazaroo in the past, and was disappointed in the colours, needing many more layers to get on, and getting an uneven cover because of that. It also didn't react with my skin. My skin is usually really resilient, but bad reactions to face paint in particular as a child meant I avoided it for years. Can't say it won't react with your skin, but there was no redness or rashes for me, which was obviously good (swatched it on my wrist and back of my neck couple days before, just to make sure) Went as a punk rock tiefling for Halloween, so bright wacky skin colour was perfect. This went on to a smooth consistent colour, took two layers in most spots, and just little touch-ups. It felt very light, and dried quickly. I layered pink and purple eyeshadow on top for contours and to allow my face to look less flat, but I am an amateur at best at makeup. It still came out fantastic though, and as long as the makeup was put on once the paint had dried there were no problems layering on top. Looks like it'll last forever as well because I used so little of it. It lasted all night, and while there was nothing too strenuous it stayed pretty well. I used setting spray, and it rubbed off on to clothes a little through the night, but my vest came out the wash perfect, and I managed to get the worst of it off my jacket just by dry rubbing until it dissipated a little, and using a little makeup remover to get the last off.

Beautiful colors, great texture and goes on pigmented and smooth. It is great at picking up the color without adding a lot to your brush or sponge. It is a good buy for the price for sure. There is enough in the jar (12m).
