The One Year Devotions for Preschoolers (Little Blessings) Review: Beautifully Written with Age-Appropriate Spiritual Lessons - This One Year Devotions for Preschoolers has become a treasured part of our family's bedtime routine. The daily devotions are perfectly crafted for 3-5 year olds, with simple language and concepts that my preschooler can understand while still containing meaningful spiritual truths that foster genuine faith development. What I love most is how the devotions connect Biblical principles to everyday preschooler experiences. Topics like sharing toys, being kind to friends, and obeying parents are woven together with Bible stories in ways that make sense to young minds. Each devotion includes a short Bible verse, brief story or lesson, and simple prayer that my child can participate in meaningfully. The length is perfect for preschooler attention spans - typically 2-3 minutes per devotion, which keeps my daughter engaged without becoming restless. The colorful illustrations throughout the book capture her attention and help reinforce the lessons visually. She often asks to look at the pictures again after we finish reading. The writing quality is excellent with warm, encouraging tone that emphasizes God's love rather than focusing on rules or fear. The devotions build character and spiritual understanding gradually, introducing concepts like prayer, thankfulness, forgiveness, and kindness in developmentally appropriate ways. The sturdy binding has held up well to daily use by eager little hands. The book layout makes it easy to find each day's devotion quickly, and we've enjoyed going back to reread favorites from previous months. Highly recommend for Christian families with preschoolers - this creates wonderful opportunities for spiritual conversations and establishes healthy devotional habits early. Review: Simple short great messages - This is a great first devotional book for kids. One for each day of the year. Building a foundation to live a faithful Christian life to children! A MUST HAVE!
God sent me this book for my 4 year daughter right after her 4th birthday. I highly recommend this Devotions book to all children at preschool age. It is high quality, with beautiful pictures and teaches one valuable lesson per day. There is one Godly message per day teaches children God's righteousness in a way that a preschooler can easily understand and meditate on in their daily practice. The story is very short so grabs my daughter's attention and it is described in a way that makes her interested and motivated to either think about it or try it out. At the bottom of each story, there is the bible verse I read to her so she knows Gods words in the bible. At the end, there is a short and concise prayer that we pray together each night so God can guide her and she can get in the habit of surrendering all of her needs to God. This Devotion book is a fantastic way to introduce God into preschooler's life through story telling. This book is a great way to teach them God's values and judgement so they can be guided by Gods way. This book teaches them the habit of surrendering all their needs to God.

Perfectly age-appropriate introduction to daily devotions
Utilizing the One Year Bible by Tyndale, Devotions for Preschoolers is a great introduction to daily quiet times with God. The Little Blessings collection features four children: Kaitlyn, Zoe, Parker and Jack. This book is no exception. The book is organized by dates and includes 366 (one extra for leap year) one-page devotions designed specifically for preschoolers. Each offers a short story about one or all of the main characters followed by a Bible verse (or two) and a prayer. All the stories are highly applicable to children in the target age group. The prayer is told in rhyming verse, usually just two or three lines. Crystal Bowman, the author of this book and numerous others, is a former preschool teacher. She is also a writer and speaker for MOPS International. The illustrator, Elena Kucharik, has over 100 children's books to her credit including the entire Little Blessings collection. She was also the lead artist for the Care Bears. What I Like: The format is great! It's short and sweet, perfect for kids this age. The stories are of high interest to preschoolers. They talk about what they want to talk about: playing dress up, painting, sharing, animals, books, toys, friends, family... then tie those topics into elements of faith. The Scripture applications are age-appropriate. I love the illustrations! They are so tender and very colorful. What I Dislike: I found nothing wrong with the book, but did feel a void in content. I would like to see an introduction for parents explaining the importance of daily devotions and how to use this book. Overall Rating: Very Good. Tanya -- Christian Children's Book Review

Perfect for toddlers
I have very much enjoyed fading this with my 3year old daughter. The pages are short and have vivid illustrations that are great for toddlers. I love that these are short and perfect for a toddlers attention span. They are set up to show one page per day for the year! You will not regret this purchase at all.
