the bulb i took out my oven hood is 230v 40w will these bulbs be ok?

yes they should be, they are daylight, so will be a different shade to normal bulbs but is much better for cooking

I bought it for an extractor fan unit for which it was perfect. I would not think it suitable for an oven. As ever, the instructions actually tell you this.

this bulb is for over hob cooker hoods. It is very unlikely that it will fit into any microwave.

Could i use these in my sewing machine? Its the correct fitting.

They are quite long so they might not fit. I would get the dimensions before buying.
