Perfect practice pole.
The instructions really are terrible.Once it's up, it stays up. It can be static or spinning. It feels strong and can hold my wife just fine. Also me when I'm embarrassing myself. I'm 170 or so lbs, so that's a good sign.Ultimately, it's a pole. It's not a professional brand-name one. It's one you get for under $100. Yes, switching between spinning and static is a bit tedious, and I do recommend getting a better allen wrench for that purpose. For the price and the fact that we are all still alive, I happily give it 5 stars.

Do not over tighten!
Instructions weren’t very clear to me I had to find a video. But pole is finally installed and works well❤️I recommend pulling a piece of wood or rubber mat to add more traction between the dome and ceiling. Beware of over tightening your pole. I installed it initially and thought the tighter I twist it the better, but the pole wouldn’t spin at all (in spin mode), and it felt impossible to loosen.. I had to get help taking it back down but once i put it back up and added the mat everything was perfect

It DOES spin!!
I received this pole yesterday, and the installation instructions were confusing, but there is a good video on YouTube that makes setup easy. After I set it up, I couldn’t figure out how to make it spin from static. It said to loosen the screws on the bottom, but there were none visible. After being bummed out and slightly irritated, i revisited the base today. There ARE screws deep in the base, and you need the Allen key to loosen them! Hooray!! Wanted to share because I’ve seen a lot of people comment that theirs doesn’t spin. Other than that, it seems good and sturdy. I’m looking forward to using it!

Fun To Workout
Okay, I thought I could install this pole without any issues, but I definitely had a tough time. It didn’t come with an installation video, but after some Googling, I found one online. Let’s just say that before watching the video, I was definitely putting it together all wrong. It took me a while—mostly because I’m short and apparently not as strong as I thought. This pole has truly humbled me. I feel weak. But once it was up, it worked perfectly! So, if you're like me and get frustrated easily, don’t worry—you’ll get there. Just make sure you find that installation video first!

For home class
I bought this to practice my skills at home and it is sturdy and gets the job done. I’m happy with the purchase.

Cheap!
This is not the first dance pole I've purchase and/or used. It will not remain on static even after tightening the screws. I can only practice on spin.
