The design is such that when you position it over a standard tobacco (or cannabis) wood (or glass) pipe the natural air draw will reverse the flame direction evenly over the top of your chamber. This is also an impressive cigarette or cigar lighter for any formal event, but it is certainly designed for the sophisticated pipe enthusiast. There is a certain timelessness to an old school oil trench lighter as well. The flame shape and temperature itself is reminiscent of a 1950s Zippo. But the style of this Dolphin 1989 is unmatched. Very solid lighter, I'm really liking it. Will buy about in solid brass tone.

After wearing down the clear coat it's made out of some cheap metals that turn near black and rub off on your skin.
