Very happy.
A great compilation, but missing Statesboro Blues.

If you love At Fillmore East, expect a bummer
One of the main reasons I bought this set was for the material Duane Allman played on. I was in complete shock that the original album version of "You Don't Love Me" was substituted for an alternate version...which I already own.I would have preferred an alternate version of "Mountain Jam" from Eat a Peach. In Alan Paul's excellent biography, most of the surviving members described it as the worst version they had ever played.

Allman brothers are classic
I bought for my husband , he enjoys getting the older albums . Couldn't afford everything when we were kids. So we fill in from are albums.

Best selection of ABB CDs.
Great selection of early Allman Brothers Band CDs. Value priced. Makes for great listening or a great gift idea.

Allman Brothers cd's
I think the Allman Brothers are one of the best bands I have ever heard. Gregg Allman was one of the best blues singer/songwriters on the planet! The whole band were incredibly talented musicians. I listen to their music every day! Kathy Paolinellie

Not a good mix.
Its good material but I had to adjust the tone on nearly every tune. I play music so maybe I'm a little picky. But it is a lot of good songs for the $$$. Maybe I need a bigger POWER AMP. lol

Great starter set for the Allmans
Great if you don't own any of the Bros on CD. My collection is on original vinyl issues.

Beginner's luck
A couple of weeks ago I was listening to "Sounds of the 70's" with Jonny Walker, walked out of the room to grab a coffee, walked back in to have a song grab my attention, listened to it right to the end, Mr Walker then informed me that it was by "The Allman Brothers Band" can't remember which of their many songs it was, but I do remember thinking that I'm pretty sure I've heard of them for some reason! Moving on a couple of weeks, this boxed set arrived (chosen because of many recommendations) was put to one side for a few days (Covid 19 precaution) brought out of isolation and thrown towards the CD player, revelation! Utterly brilliant! Loved every track, not a "filler" anywhere to be found, & then it happened- the reason I've heard of them before, "Jessica" was used as the original theme on "Top Gear!" That fact asside, I knew virtually nothing about these guys and now I can't stop playing them! Music crafted beautifully, performed with love and gussto , cannot recommend this set, or the band enough, a descovery that I will enjoy for the rest of my days! Deffinately more luck than judgment!

One of the best and underrated rock bands out there
This box set is an absolute bargain, five albums by The Allman Brothers Band remastered. Their first two studio albums are excellent, short and to the point (highlights are Dreams from the first album and In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed from the second album) but they merely build up to their masterpiece album At Fillmore East. This album is one of the best ever released, the extended jams of their tunes are the absolute zenith of guitar music. The set is worth picking up for this album alone. Eat A Peach is also fantastic, mixing live material and new studio material in the wake of Duane Allman's passing. The album is notable for containing the mammoth half an hour Mountain Jam. Brothers and Sisters finishes off the set and, despite the absence of Duane, it's another classic record, look out for the beautiful instrumental Jessica. So, all in all, this set is essential listening to fans of music, this is prime rock music.

Excellent box set
Really please with this purchase thought it might have been the flimsy box that you would normally get with the 5 classic albums this was a very good box. The cds are excellent in original covers and a great sound. The only down side is that there is no info on the personnel on each album only the track listing, but you can find this info on the net. All in all 5 star.

Allman Brothers
.....as it says on the cover '5 Classic albums' The only thing that some people might dislike is that some (just a few) live tracks are long, and I mean LONG (33 minutes), but you have to remember they were performing live. Would have been well worth the ticket money. ........and remember drum solos, yes one drum solo lasts nearly 15 minutes.

The Allman Brothers Band
I am very happy with this set. The American version had a best of as the fifth album. I thought that was redundant and opted for the U.K. version. I am glad I did. The CD's sound amazing!
