Tibetan Incantations

I love this CD. It touches my heart. The simple mantra of 'Om Mani Padme Hum' is recited to very soothing music. It really shouldn't matter if this Tibetan chant is set to music that is Chinese, should it? After all, shouldn't wisdom and compassion transcend national boundaries and span the world? This is my favorite music for meditation. Buy it and let the six syllables - Om Ma Ni Pe Me Hum - sink into your being:Gen Rinpoche, in his commentary on the Meaning of the mantra has said:"The mantra Om Mani Pädme Hum is easy to say yet quite powerful, because it contains the essence of the entire teaching. When you say the first syllable Om it is blessed to help you achieve perfection in the practice of generosity, Ma helps perfect the practice of pure ethics, and Ni helps achieve perfection in the practice of tolerance and patience. Päd, the fourth syllable, helps to achieve perfection of perseverance, Me helps achieve perfection in the practice of concentration, and the final sixth syllable Hum helps achieve perfection in the practice of wisdom."Let us all awaken the wisdom within!

Everything I expected! Wonderful Mantra's, Relaxing meditation music,or music to just escape with. LOVE IT!!! I Listen to this ALL the time! NamasteEdited on Sept 11,2013: I purchased a new vehicle. This CD had NEVER left my vehicle as it was my favorite cd to play while driving. So relaxing.I accidentally left the cd in my CD player in the car I traded in when buying my new car. I was frantic when I got in my new car and realized what I had done. Lol. I was happy when I called the dealership and they had my cd. If they did not have it,I would have purchased a new one here immediately! It's THAT GOOD!!!! Namaste _/|\_

Though the contents of the CD have been (unfortunately) posted for free online, I wanted to obtain a legal copy and support the artists. I cannot see how anyone from any faith regretting the purchase of this CD. I use one of the track daily to repeat my mantra Om Mani Padme Hum. It is very uplifting and really supportive. Playing this music or this CD will permeate your house with very positive and healing energy. I cannot recommend this enough. You will truly feel it. You will. Trust me. You will feel it inside and outside.

Have ordered this out of stock treasure and eagerly awaiting its arrival. Have listened to it for hours on end through You Tube, but want to have a hard copy to use in my car, download on my phone, carry it anywhere I go. Love this, love this. Settles me calmly after a shift in the ER. Keeps me focused when paying bills or cooking. So worth buying. So powerful to chant along with it.

After hearing this on U-Tube (but not knowing the CD name), I looked and looked before finally finding it here on Amazon. This is (imho) the very best version avaliable of these mantras. For me, nothing else comes close. Perfect. However, had to buy used from a listed seller but it arrived in perfect conditon. Will buy a new one when it becomes available.

Wonderful to be able to purchase this CD and have my own copy to put on my phone and carry with me knowing I can listen to it anywhere not just on youtube.

While this recording is not strictly traditional, it's very easy to listen to. As others have mentioned, the fact that the Dalai Lama will play this does lend it some credibility as an alternative for those who are not quite ready to go straight to traditional Buddhist chant. Unlike some recordings, the instrumentation isn't loud or in your face. It complements the vocals quite well. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants some calming music.

The first time I have listened this music was in Nepal during an excursion for visiting the Budish temples in trip of dream and of a lot of amazing experiences. I was fascinated and like so many people we got only a bad copy of this album, anyway ...Thanks to AMAZON.co.uk I got a brand new album and I liste it once and once again. The melody is so calm and nice. Don't miss it !!

I really only purchased this cd after hearing (and becoming hooked) on the 'om mani pad me hum' track (track 1).The other 2 tracks were o.k. The other version of 'om mani pad me hum' (track 3) was nice and sounds authentic, like something you would literally hear being chanted in a temple in Tibet or India. Although, I personally did not find this as listenable or uplifting as the first 'om mani pad me hum' track.Overall this is a good cd with 3 long and enjoyable tracks, track 2 does sound more Chinese in style and instrument, but nonetheless is still catchy and uplifting. A nice cd to add to any 'spiritual' music collection.

I love this CD and I am so glad I bought it. I first came across it by chance whilst in You Tube watching a video and the music playing in the background of the video (as I eventually found out after some searching), was the first track on this album, Om Mani Padme Hum, which is beautiful - It is so peaceful and relaxing. There are three tracks altogether each one lasting over twenty minutes - the third track is a different version of Om Mani Padme Hum - it's a more traditional version than the first one but enjoyable nonetheless. I certainly would have no hesitation this album to anyone.

Whilst the DVD itself was in good condition, the case had a massive crack in it and needs to be replaced. I am disappointed the seller wasn't proactive in doing this.
