Organic Fair Soda Syrup Set

Let me start by saying, if you like the extreme sweetness of normal soda, you will probably not like these. If, however, you find normal soda to be unnecessarily sweet these might be what you're looking for. If you want to increase the sweetness stevia extract does the trick.This set contains 6 flavors, all of which are organic and relatively low in sugar. I have reviewed each one below.Kola (3/5): While this soda does have a good flavor, it tastes more like a mix between black tea and cola. That isn't surprising seeing that black tea is one of the major flavor ingredients. Unfortunately, that's not what I want a cola to taste like.Cherry Cola (4/5): As with the kola, it still doesn't taste very cola-like. It does however have a very good cherry flavor and does not have the black tea flavor that kola does.Root Beer (5/5): Very strong, clean and delicious root beer flavor. I have no complaints about this one.Ginger Ale (5/5): Also very good, though it is stronger in ginger flavor than a typical ginger ale. It's about halfway in flavor between a ginger ale and a ginger beer but with less sweetness than either.Orange (5/5): A very clean and delicious orange flavor, tastes more like real oranges than typical orange soda.Lavender (5/5): Despite the name, it tastes more like a sparkling lemonade with lavender scent. It is very refreshing.

The ginger and rootbeer flavors as well at the cola were quite good. I used them to flavor kombucha...the lavender and other flavors were not for me.

Loved the idea of an organic and fair trade option to add flavor to my did a stream for me and the kids. Flavors are fun and I love the mix of both traditional and non-traditional flavors. Con: price is ridiculous for the size of the bottles given that I had to use nearly 1/8 cup of liquid to lightly flavor my seltzer. Decent product if you're looking for quality and a subtle flavor. Despite this, I wouldn't purchase again due to the price point.

Sadly these were a huge disappointment. I was looking for an alternative to soda syrups (like soda stream syrups) that had a bunch of garbage in them but these were not worth it. Not sure how any of these flavors made it past R&D. Most of them tasted like some kind of medicine. I wish someone would make a flavored soda syrup that just was normal, and didn't try to put some weird spin on the flavor. Don't waste your money - I wish I hadn't.

Was expecting something more flavorful, but was very disappointed when I tried the first few flavors. "Cherry Cola" didn't taste like, well, "Cherry Cola." It was "cherry-ish," but no "cola." The "Root Beer" was mildly "root beer-ish," even after I added more syrup. The "Hibiscus" was... strange. The "Lavender" one is probably the best flavor of all of them.If you consider these to be more along the lines of a "water enhancer" or "essence," then you probably won't be disappointed. If you are expecting a "full-flavored" beverage, forget it. Get something else.

I don’t usually do reviews but after ordering I had read the reviews and was a little worried that I spent so much and there were so many bad reviews. The flavors are amazing, if you’re used to pop that is non organic or not natural you might not like it but we are used to organic pop that uses herbs and spices instead of chemicals so it tastes normal to us. It was definitely worth the money and I would buy again. I had no problem opening the bottles either. Our local farm store and co-op stopped selling organic pop and we were a little bummed but with this syrup we can make it to our sweetness preferences, just add to sparkling water. Amazing job Organic Fair!!

I've only tried the root beer and the cherry cola so far. The cherry cola has a really odd taste but the root beer is not bad. And I love being able to use it with my SodaStream.

I have recently started brewing my own Kombucha and these syrups are perfect for creating a variety of flavors and not create a cloyingly chemical taste as some of the other flavoring syrups do. I also have a soda stream and it works great with these flavors. The Ginger Ale and the Rootbeer require a little extra tweaking to get the flavors to my liking, but the results are great.
