Fits in well with our homeschooling curriculum and will continue to buy them for the upcoming years. Very impressed with the quality of the book and the structure of the book. Review: Summer Exercises that work - I ordered this book and two others from Evan Moor to use over the summer. I must say that this is my daughters favorite book to use for summer slide learning. The activities are broken down into daily activities that give students to ability to build their skill. The book has a guide and "lesson plan" to help if needed. Students can take a quiz/test at the end of the week to show what they know. I will continue to use this and other grade level to help my kiddos.

Homeschool Supplement
We love using this in place of our curriculum spelling. It is easy to use and helps my children learn how to spell. We love the ease of it!

Simple and to the Point Curriculum
This is our least hated spelling curriculum so far. I like that it isnโt just seemingly random lists of words but each list has a phonetic theme like long a sound or โwhโ words. I also love that this is one curriculum that I donโt have to teach other than briefly review the rule for the list and do dictation and a test. My son is mostly independent with it. The words seem very simplistic for second grade in at least the first half of the book but I have noticed words I thought he surely knew how to spell, he actually didnโt. I like that they occasionally change up the types of activities each week so it doesnโt get too boring.

Simple spelling curricula
As a homeschooler I had tried other spelling programs that came with word lists and two or three activites per list but couldn't make them work. These workbooks while a little pricey are worth it because with an activity for each of the first four days of the week and just the test to give each Friday it helps keep a steady routine. The words seemed a bit simple at the start of the grade level to me, but now that we're further in with conjugated verbs in the list it is addressing some gaps in what the kiddos knew. You can add two words of your own to each word list which I like as well. Teacher involvement is picking the two bonus words, reading the word list Mondays for a pre-test, reading two dictation sentences for Thursday, and reading the word list off again on Friday for the actual test.

Easy to use spelling curriculum!
This is a quick and easy way to teach spelling! All of the pages can be removed easily for copying and I love that the whole book is reproducible. Weโve been using this for over a month and itโs been going great!

Worth it
I have seen a huge difference in my child when he started using this book. This book has helped him with writing, spelling, and reading. Once we finished the first grade, I purchased the second grade. I am very impressed with this schoolbook.

Love this book.
This is one of my favourite spelling workbooks. The test part also includes the diction - which is amazing. Plus the extra practice is not very easy - forces the child to think. It gets much practice without overwhelming the child.
