I'm just an old guy who bought a MIG welder. I plan to weld my own rear bumper with a tire carrier for a 120lbs spare tire, so I need strong welds. This kit is made of thick 3/16" steel exactly like I plan to use on my bumper. It was a great practice exercise to use my welding arrows and tack all sides. Don't forget to NOT use your magnetic welding arrows for the last side (I just used my hand), otherwise they'll be trapped forever ;-). Then I did the long beads on each side. That's great, because you learn to manage the heat you put in those thick plates. It felt like a great rehearsal before attacking my bumper. Thanks for providing this on Amazon.

Great cuts great for practicing little bit high in price but you get perfect cut pieces.

Great quality and a cool gift for our nephew's birthday. He is getting into welding and this is a very fun gift!

As expected. Clean edges, perfect 2in square.

I haven't had a chance to weld this together yet. But quality from my point of veiw.
