I read the kindle version of this book and it was an enjoyable read. I use a screenreader so the occasional errors (which I think are due to an automated process of however they make the digital version) made it sound funny, but the meaning was still clear. I studied gemology in college and have studied and worked in energy work for a long time and agree with most of what was in the book. I'd recommend it to someone just getting started in Crystal and alternative healing if they like an informal style. Overall, a fine read. I wish it had citations, but if that doesn't faze you, you should get something out of it. I'd read other things by her were I to come across them. She has good intentions and touches on major points a beginner might like. She also covers lots and lots of stones. I'll have it with me on my next stone and Crystal buying trip as the section on poisonous stones was very good.

Definitely not what I expected, but I'm still satisfied. This book covers THE most basic information regarding different aspects of crystal healing. This book is a good start for getting your curiosities flowing- I recommend it as a good place to start if you are curious, which is why I chose this book. After reading it, I feel prepared to further research crystals and develop my own understanding of it. This book is very short and to the point, making it a good quick read and also a good book to share. The author's writing style isn't very publisher-friendly, but more feels as though he or she is just having a simple conversation with me.

It's a very handy guide to crystals for beginners. Easy to understand and start with. However it is NOT a comprehensive list on all crystals and lacks and index (why it's not 5 star). I had to look through the pages to find sections on a specific crystal I liked and sometimes I wanted to know about a crystal that wasn't listed in there. However, the book is well organized and so it's definitely helpful in getting started in this area of knowledge.

Good read

Interesting read. Simple enough that my 8 years old can easily understand and follow it. We both find crystals quite fascinating. I was introduced crystals by friends and I loved it, felt the power myself and thought of introducing it to my kid. They looked it..Firstly coz of the colors but then she started reading this book and loved it. Thank you..

I like this book, it's cleverly and interestingly written. I learned about healing by way of balancing the chakras and your personal energy field. It's a different perspective and it seemed to make sense. Crystals are known for their restorative and healing properties other than the fact that they look lovely and splendid as jewelries and ornaments. I recommend this book, it's a colorful read and learning about crystals and healing.

Appreciated the quick review of information this little booklet provides. Do wish it was more in depth about actual usages of stones with specific areas like lower back, spine, neck, joints, feet, knees, hands, as these areas are not so generalized.
