Good shoes, but doesn't fit like the original Yucatan sandals.
They are good shoes overall and fit well, but I'm concerned about stretching in the future, so I'd say that they are not as good as the original Women's Yucatan (the ECCO Women's Yucatan Sandal Outdoor Sandal).Let me compare them, Yucatan II.Haven't had them long, so far, a loose fit since you can't tighten the back strap (there is none) and the one over the toes is more difficult to tighten. Similar or same sole as the original Yucatan, which is why I gave it so many stars. I am concerned that they may not last as long because if the Yucatan II stretches like the predecessor, then the fit will only get worse. I guess I'll have to update in a couple of years.I had the original Women's Yucatan sandals for about 3+ years. I wore them often, usually with socks for about 1/3 of the day on average I'd say (any less and my arches would fall and my feet would hurt, they did help a lot by having a great sole. Wish they weren't so expensive, (which is why I tried the Yucatan II which was on sale). My original Yucatan sandals finally went into the trash after some considerable stretching, which the straps made up for in its last year, but it was the back strap on the heel that these shoes (the Yucatan II) do not have which made those shoes unwearable when it had stretched beyond a snug Velcro clasping and eventually kept breaking open.I guess time will tell if these shoes, the Yucatan II, will hold up longer than the original Yucatan which is snugger at first and easier to personalize. I paid $100 for these, $30 cheaper than the original Yucatan sandals at the time, so the price was better. I thought that the lack of a back strap would let it hold up longer, but its a different feel than the original Yucatan because of the looseness that makes it feel sort of already broken in. It still has a great sole for bad arches (for me anyway) and nicer colors too. These look better than the 2 colors or more that the original Yucatan comes in. I'd give it 5 stars if it lasts as long as the original, the fit just isn't as good and it's harder to tighten the shoes properly so I doubt that they'll last as long. If I can update it in a few years I will.

No too small but...
This is my 3rd pair of Ecco sandals. I get the same style every time but I get a different color every time. This pair is marked the same size as my others but they definitely fun a little shorter and a little more narrow. Also the strap that goes around the back of your foot keeps feeling like it's slipping down. This is not something I have ever experienced with any of my other Ecco's. I should have returned the shoe but I LOVE the red patton leather. Truthfully I wonder if they are really Eccos and not a really good knock off.

They sent wrong shoe but I decided to keep
I had ordered this shoe in black and olive.. recd the same black solid I already had recd last time.. but this shoe is very supportive and good for walking so I decided to keep for when the previous wears out...am in florida so sandals are year round.

Not exactly what I hoped for, but will do
I was hoping for better arch support. The footbed is somewhat hard and has practically no arch support. I wear 6.5B in major brands like Merrell and Clarks, but this was the first Ecco purchase. I ordered 6-6.5. They are barely long enough but I think the next size up would be too long because there are no half sizes, which I think is the problem with these sandals. The uppers are comfortable but not very adjustable to make any narrower. To deal with the lack of arch support I added a Profoot Triad orthotic. It solved the problem of no arch support and fit well, practically invisible when worn. These shoes are not really ideal, but in a pandemic they will have to do and I think they will be comfortable enough if not worn for long periods. They look very stylish, a plus.

Happy Trekker!
I got my first pair in 2013 before I started working for Backroads as a trip leader. This pair stuck with me through hundreds of hikes and adventures, across various terrain (rocks, water, sand, and snow), trekking all over the world! It broke my heart when they finally split while white water rafting this year (6 years and at least a thousand miles later!) So...I bought a new pair! I wasn’t sure if they would feel the same or if I would love them as much...I’m happy to say I received the new pair today and I had forgotten how Extremely supportive and sturdy they feel in the very beginning! While they held up over the years, the Velcro does wear a bit after all I put them through and it feels GREAT to strap on this new pair and remember the arch, sole, and ankle support! I may get another pair as a back-up in case Ecco ever decides to stop making them. And, my boyfriend may need a pair also! Happy and satisfied customer!

La grandeur était mal indiquée
La grandeur indiquée était 40-47. J'ai pris une chance et j'ai reçu des 43. J'aurais espéré des 40....Dommage

Two point adjustment
Potential buyers of the Yucatan off-road sandal should know that the shoe is adjustable at two points, behind the heel and at the ankle. The adjustable strap across the fore foot is just for show, there is solid material under it. I suppose it might give a bit with wear, but you cannot adjust the fit at that point.

The Worst Shoes I have Ever Had
I bought these shoes for a 2-month stay in Portugal and made the mistake of only testing them inside my home. The size was right and they initially felt comfortable. Walking more than a few blocks in them was another thing. I have never had shoes that chaffed so many different parts of my feet -- especially shoes billed as athletic sandals. There is even a place where two pieces of fabric overlap and no way to prevent one of the pieces from tubbing one's foot the wrong way. In addition to the extremely irritating fabric and footbed, the shoes don't have enough support to actually hold your toes on the footbed. Any sort of a brisk pace and your toes fall off the edge of the shoe. It's possible I got a dud pair, as others seem to like these shoes. It's also possible that I'm allergic to yak leather. In any case, it's definitely buyer beware with these expensive sandals!

GREAT SANDAL
Love the colors...they are pastel, not brilliant, so blend in with what you wear, and also very comfortable....adjustable over the toes, the top of the foot and the ankle.
