Buy at your own risk. Mine did not work.
This product did not work. It came with a small initial charge and worked briefly. When I went to plug it into my computer to charge it did 2 things. One, it did not charge. The indicator light did not turn on. Second, it started to smoke. I kid you not. I unplugged it immediately. Tried to turn it on again and nothing. Complete waste. I returned it immediately. Buy at your own risk.

Fantastic battery life, sound quality, and customer support!
When I first received this speaker, I was upset to find that it didn't work properly (issues with charging then it stopped working all together). I emailed the company (E Depot Express; I found their email for customer support included in the packaging). The replied in 5 minutes (NO JOKE! 5 MINUTES!) and immediately told me that they would send me another one free of charge (free shipping as well). I received the new one in two days and it works perfectly!!! The first one just had some sort of defect, which happens because no one and nothing is perfect all the time. I just went on a road trip and we used the speaker for playing music in the car. I started with it fully charged and after 18.5 hours of driving (playing music the whole time) I didn't have to charge it ONCE! In fact, a few days after completing the road trip, I still haven't charged it. Amazing battery life and the sound is fantastic! I recommend getting a wall USB charger (or just use one you probably already have) because it doesn't come with one. It should also be noted that if you want a longer charging cable, it is a very common end (don't know what it's called, the other end that's not USB). For example, I use my kindle cord for charging it because it fits and it's longer than the one the speakers come with, and many of my other cords also fit it.

CRAP! Don't buy!
Don't buy this CRAP!!! it's waste of money! I bought it for my solo backcountry trip because it's lightweight and it has a large volume. I counted on it to make enough noise to avoid bear encounter. But everything about this crap went WRONG! First, the charging cable was broken, the charging light was not on at all! Then I found a cable. But new problem was it never charged the way the menu says, the red light never on, it always blue light, so I didn't know how much it had been charged. I even bought a battery bank as a backup. After all, no matter how long I charged it, it never lasted longer than one hour, and it became shorter and shorter!! Luckily, I also carried bear bell in my backcountry trip and I didn't run into a bear so I can sit here alive and write this comment. I'm definitely returning this CRAP!

Dinky speakers sound AMAZING
I was completely shocked when I saw how truly tiny this speaker is. I thought to myself "How can anything this dinky possibly have decent sound? Then I plugged it in. This little guy has superb sound. I was completely blown away. I had it hooked up to my computer, so I could both charge it and listen to it simultaneously, so it was sitting on my desk. I turned on one of my more base-heavy songs and cranked the volume up. This little fellow not only sounds great, but the base was powerful enough to vibrate my solid cedar desk! All speakers take some time after they are first unboxed to reach their full sound potential. The speaker has to be given a chance to flex and loosen up a bit before it can sound it's best. Despite this being my first ten minutes with this dinky speaker, I'm already impressed by it's audio quality, and can hardly wait to hear it grow into it's greatest potential the more I use it.For me, the size is perfect, too. I've eyed many a portable speaker in the past, but many of them I thought would be too big for my needs. My car's speakers are junk, and I was looking for a way to get some music in my car without having to pay an arm and a leg to outfit my car with a better speaker system. The one downside to portable speakers is they are a potential thief magnet. Since I'm starting college in a couple weeks and will be leaving my car unattended in a parking lot for hours on end, I did not want it getting broken into if I could help it.This speaker solves all my problems so elegantly I feel the need to kiss it! Not only is it tiny on it's own, but it's "resonance chamber", which is the narrow center of this Crabby Patty-shaped speaker, is collapsible. When fully collapsed, this thing could fit anywhere: a purse, a pocket, even my over-crowded glove-box.Add to this the excellent sound, and these speakers' ability to be linked together, and you've got the best cheap car sound system available! Odds are very good that I will buy another one of these soon for that purpose.**Update**I've been using this speaker for roughly four months now and it still is awesome. I've seen other reviews complain that it died after a week. My advice? CHARGE IT! Lithium-ion batteries don't run forever!Once, on my way home from school, the speaker suddenly died on me. I began charging it and immediately it came back to life. The best thing about this speaker is it's ability to be charged while playing. If it's fully charged, the battery should last for about 12 hours of continuous playback.**Update II**I was in a nasty car wreck four months ago. I had this little guy hooked up to my mp3 player when it happened. Everything in the car went flying everywhere during the wreck, but later all my stuff was salvaged from my car's remains. This little speaker was among them, and it is perfectly fine. I have continued using it since I've been back on my feet, and I swear by it now. If you're looking for a small, resilient and great-sounding travel speaker, this is what you're looking for!

Mini? YES! Portable? YES! Does it work? NO!
I bought an XBOOM in purple, and it worked great -- for a few days. Then, when I tried to charge the speaker, the LED light would go on -- indicating a charge -- but then, when unplugged from charging, the light stayed on, thereby draining the speaker completely of power. Why would the light stay on? This had to be broken...So, I decided it was my bad luck, and purchased a ceramic XBOOM in blue not long after. This worked primo for a day and a half -- and then, when I would try to charge it, it appeared to charge: light on, and the light turned off when unplugging the charger -- all good! UNTIL I turned on the speaker, and -- absolutely NOTHING. And I tried to 'jumpstart' the battery, too, as instructed in the instructions. No go, Jack.In other words: I've got two pieces of junk sitting on my desk. I suppose I should have learned the first time, but I won't be fooled again!
