I gave myself a few good months to write a review about this Hearing air. and i went through maybe 4 Tip and Tubing Replacement Kit ( due to wear, nothing out the ordinary)LifeEar Really created something amazing here, the size of this thing is phenomenally small, literally cant be noticed unless was staring at my ear.the sound quality is really Great but not amazing to be honest, With all speech and conversation you really forget its there and it sounds really normal. But with Music and some car audio (for example when i plug my phone in my car and play a podcast) it sometimes screech and give me an uncomfortable Hearing experience, but its nothing that's ruining the day, if anything i probably have it on one settings too loud or that my car stereo is just bad.the replacement tubes and plugs due last me quite a long time (1-2 months) and replacing them isn't expensive but you have to buy them from lifeear's website, and cleaning them everyday isn't really necessary , weekly is fine, and replacement for me is when the rubber deforms and becomes too hard to fit into the ear, if its dirty i just clean them and leave em to dry (careful to use hot water as i have ruined one by using water that's too hot and it deformed the Tip of the rubber.Overall i am very very please with my purchase and recommend anyone who has thoughts about buying this to just go for it.sometimes i wake up in the morning and i think about if i need to wear my hearing aid (thinking maybe i don't need it) , but that thought quickly goes away the second i turn it on and i can hear everything i should (like footsteps, or my A/C running in the background, or people speaking from a distance)

This is really an amazing device. I have been using it for over a month and it is serving the way it is advertised. I just needed a little time to get used to it as it amplifies not only the sounds outside but also the words that I was speaking. But once I got used to it I hardly noticed that. In fact, I went into the shower without removing the device and I was just lucky as I quickly got out of the shower and removed the device and dry wiped it. It didn't cause any problem; luckily for me. Overall I am happy with the purchase. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star as I felt that there should have been a "switch off" button rather than pulling the battery out to switch it off. This I found to be tricky and annoying and always making me worried that I will drop the very tiny battery and will lose it.

When these work they are great for the money. My 1st set head one break within the 1st couple weeksThey did replace them at no cost but then I had one of those break as well.If they didn't break off give them a high rating due to how well they work for the money, when they're working

Item stopped working completely after about 30 total hours used. New battery did nothing, Since it went bad about 4 days after return window I am sol. Worked well while it did.

Feels like I'm in a tunnel. It was a waste of money

I have been steadily losing hearing, in the upper ranges, for quiet a few years. The TV was muffled and I couldn't understand my wife if she wasn't facing me and I was speaking very loud. I finally did my research and decided that LifeEar was the one that I was willing to try. Except for not allowing the battery to fully charge the first time I used it, my experience has been very good. My voice has lowered, I can hear my clients clearly and I can hear sounds that I haven't heard in years. my wife now complains that the sound on our TV is too low. LOL. The ability to change the settings to accommodate what ever the situations are excellent.Occasionally I get a sound backlash but I can change the setting to remedy this and is not too distracting.Unless I show people my hearing device, none apparently can see it. The plastic ear piece fits very well and the receiver is not visible as I wear glasses. Last, the one month money back guarantee is very assuring and the staff is terrific in responding to emails.In summary, I am very pleased with my purchase and this is based on 4 days of constant use of 12 hours or more per day.I will re-review this again in one month.

I ordered one of these and one of the Tweak (which comes in a pretty silver color) for a loved one, and she liked this one better. Apparently it DOES take some getting used to, having the bit of echo in your head (what with your ear being plugged up)-- I thought the Tweak would be better in that respect, since it doesn't plug up the ear. But the Tweak apparently had more annoying buzzes and bumps and feedback, and this one (LifeEar) was the one she wanted to keep.This worked out pretty well as a sort of "gateway drug" for someone who isn't quite ready to accept really having hearing loss, at least accept it enough to get over the hurdle of going and spending thousands and thousands of dollars on hearing aids that may or may not work out. I'd recommend that strategy, for oneself or if you're shopping for a loved one: order one of these and one of the Tweak (or something similar), and see which works out better. That way you know (or the person knows) "I like this one better than that one" and pros and cons, strengths and limitations of each, rather than coming away with the impression "I hate hearing aids and I'll never use one again."It was gratifying to see that the person I got this for did seem to take to it, enough to reach for it voluntarily, and may even order a second one. I'm giving four stars because we've only done a comparison across two brands, and for all we know an expensive custom one would be a million times more fabulous; but this is, in my conclusion, a good introduction/way to try out the concept.

Would not spend money on it again, though. Does not damp background noise, got feedback when i first put it on. Very rarely use it.
