Great value, surprisingly sturdy for the price
We purchased these tools to replace a set we inherited that had proven too weak for normal use. We selected these tools based on their price, reviews, and ratings and we have been quite happy with the purchase so far.Like most fireplace tools, I'm sure that you can bend these if you try but after using these for a few weeks of daily fires that we keep burning 8-16 hours a day, I feel that the danger of this happening through normal use is minuscule. The three-prong design of the tongs is great; it adds stability when using the tongs to add wood or to move wood already in the fire. The poker is non-standard in design; I was somewhat skeptical of it at first but I have not had any problems or frustrations when using it. We have a gas starter in our fireplace - a pipe with emitters along its length that sits about 3/4" off the floor of the fireplace and ash accumulates in this space. The broom is not long enough to fit completely underneath the pipe or to conveniently reach just behind the pipe but the shovel is low-profile enough to easily fit underneath and scoop the otherwise hard-to-sweep ashes out. The broom is great for all other applications in the fireplace. When assembled, the stand plus the tools take up about as much space as every other set of fireplace tools I've come across in my life - not very much space, which makes it quite convenient to store on the hearth. Assembly is about as simple as it could be and took all of a minute or two once the items were unpackaged.Based on our usage so far, this seems like a solid set of fireplace tools and an excellent set for the price.

Sturdy/compact
Love this set because it was easy to assemble, it sits right next to the fireplace and looks great. Well-made, does not feel cheap. Handles are long enough even for my short person stature. Husband loves using the tongs, etc. Have been using it for about a year now and it is still looking like new.

Worth the price
This is a decent fireside poker set, and well worth the money. I looked at local "named" hardware stores around where I live and they had sets of significantly less quality and for the same or greater prices. As the description says, this set is not cast iron, but wrought iron. Slight difference in strength, but wrought iron is also a little lighter. That is not to say that this set is light however. The item was shipped/packaged well; there was slight damage to the items original box, but that box was inside of another box so it was not a big deal. The box amazon put the item in was exceptionally huge though.Assembly was very easy. The set includes a small "wrench" (if it can be called that) that does require you to have insanely strong hands to use as it is ridiculously small. I ended up bending the wrench in the process of trying to tighten it. This in my opinion does not take away from the quality as I am buying a fire poker set, and not a wrench. I promptly threw it in the garbage when I was done with it though. The wrench, not the fire poker set....The set has a thick finish of paint on it, and on the log holder/grabber some of the paint ran a little when it was being painted, but this is me nit-picking at this point. Lets be honest, when I use it to pick up logs put them in a fire I am sure some of the paint is bound to burn off anyways. Kinda comes with the territory, ya know?Anywho, that is a lot of words to say this is a great fire poker set and will last many-a-season.TLDR; If you want a quality fire poker set, buy this one. Or don't, doesn't really affect me either way....

Looks good, can’t wait for fire weather.
So! Not too expensive for a iron fireplace set. Very sturdy once you screw everything on tight. It looks good, sleek and useable. I like how the prongs are large and open up. Not too sure about the hook on the pick yet. Will have to see as I’m used to more spear like picks.Once thing I would say is that the mini wrench that came with it was missized for the screw that bolts the legs on. Not sure why it’s included as I was able to screw it on and tighten with my hands so I didn’t even need tools in the first place.I can’t wait to light my first fire in my new home and this was the first step towards that goal and the favorite part of the wintery season.

Affordable and Sturdy
For the past two years living at our apartment we have not had fire tools. We have used an extra log or stick to move things around, which could honestly be difficult and even dangerous at times. We held out on getting fire tools for the past two winters because we assumed it would be too expensive and we might not have a fire place at our next apartment to make it worth it. Finally after two years we bit the bullet and bought this affordable and life-changing product! I wish we would’ve done it sooner, but these were super easy to put together and have worked so well so far! They look very nice sitting next to our fireplace and we can now easily stoke a fire.

Excellent quality. Highly recommend.
I've been through a lot of these fire poker sets in my lifetime.. many of them just clearly aren't built to last and end up falling apart or getting loose. Screws can't support the weight and get stripped over a short period of time... if you've been there, you know what I mean. Then we bought this... game changer. Building it was a piece of cake (insert A into A, B into B..), it feels very sturdy, it's made of a good quality iron (unlike many where you can just feel how cheap they are). Each piece is well sized, heavy/sturdy, looks great, and considering we use our current fireplace 400% more than I've ever used a fireplace in my life (welcome to New England in the winter!), it's getting used quite hard and I can tell this will last us a long time.

Excellent Quality
Have needed one for years. So glad I helpd out for this wrought iron set. Simple and functional. Love the hooks on the tools as opposed to the usual knob handles that always twist and fall off.
