The quality I have come to expect from converse now with delivery from Amazon. Shoes came on time and well packaged. They were brand new and were REAL converse. I was a little hesitant because I saw some reviewers state they were fake, these are real quality converse. My only complaint is that I wear a woman's size 11 and they squish my toes a tad. I've been shopping around for a good pair of Converse for a while, thinking that I could find them for under $20.00 if I looked hard enough. My last pair, which I bought three years ago, was $20, and I thought surely I could find more for less than the $35-45 price tag I was seeing. Stupid inflation.I finally bought these when I realized if I was going to get a new pair, I had to cough up the extra dough. I'm really glad I did. I wore the last pair all the time, and though they're still comfortable and I'm far too attached to them to throw them away, they have holes in the leather and in the sole, and they smell something foul when it rains. I have no doubt that these canvas Converse Chuck's will last just as long and be just as comfortable, and my first few wears makes me confident that I'm right. My last pair was leather, but the same shoe style, so I don't know if the fabric of these will stretch. I do know that the leather ones never did, it only got a little less structured after three years of wear.What I like:1. These are meant to wear as regular sneakers, so while you don't want to go on a run with them, they are just as comfortable if you're going on a long walk. There's no chafing on the heel no matter how far I go, and the support means they're not going to destroy your lower back if you find yourself walking or standing all day.2. For me, at least, they fit true to size. I have wide feet, but the design of the shoe means I can lace them tighter or looser and not worry about them cutting into my circulation or falling off.3. I got the navy blue ones, and the color is exactly what you see in the product picture. It's vibrant, but not bright, and well-dyed and even-toned.As for dislikes, well...there's nothing I dislike about Converse, so you're asking the wrong person if you're looking for complaints. All Converse I've ever owned are comfortable and simple, and I think it's what the brand does best.

I bought these Chucks based on what everyone else seems to be wearing. The people in their 30s or older tend to immediately identify these with shoes they wore as kids, but the younger (20-30 crowd) seem to find these to be "hip" shoes. My unbiased opinion (having never worn Chucks as a kid because they were too expensive) is that they are uncomfortable, heavy, and have an antiquated design. I am not a fan of the white rubber sides either. I designed my own pair on the Converse website, but the shipped price for a custom pair of Chucks is about 3 times the cost of the regular off-the-rack All Stars. Reading other reviews, Chucks tend to last 9-12 months max, so they aren't exactly durable. I have Adidas running shoes that log thousands of miles a year that will last a solid 2-3 years before the tread is completely worn out (but the shoes are otherwise intact). The Adidas running shoes are also MUCH lighter and comfortable to wear. I suppose if you are trying to set a trend, the Chucks are a good way to go. If you are looking for a well designed and comfortable pair of shoes for walking or running, look elsewhere - hopefully at something modern designed after 2010 and not 100 years ago.The saving grace is that somehow, the thick and stiff soles seem to provide almost barefoot-like feel to the ground. These feel a lot like Vibram Five Fingers or other minimalist shoes. Paul Walker wore Chucks in the first Fast and the Furious movie, and I could see why... Chucks provide exceptional feel for the pedals, so I can feel how much brake pressure i am applying and makes heel-toe downshifting easier.Overall: 3/5 stars, cheap materials, overpriced, not durable, but provides extremely sensitive feel for surfaces - almost like walking barefoot.

MAKE SURE TO READ THE DESCRIPTION! I bought these for my daughter's dance and in a rush to purchase them, I believed them to be high tops. Clearly based on the description, they are LOW TOPS so just be aware. :)

These replaced my 20 year old One Star's. The comfort and support are way better than expected, I'm so glad my wife bought them for me!

Ever since Nike took over Converse, I have noticed that the Chuck Taylor's have the sewn in loop in the tongue to keep it in place and for me, this is a welcome change. I could be misremembering, but I do not remember the loops being there in the past. Upon trying on a pair at JCP (I had not worn a new pair in many years), I came home and purchased for less of Amazon. Everything about the shoe was the same as the shoe I tried on n the store. As suggested by many (including the Converse web-site), I ordered a half-size down and the shoes fit fine.UPDATE: after about 6 months, the rubber at the bottom of the shoe began to separate from the canvas. At the very most, I wear these shoes maybe once a week, sometimes going weeks without wearing at all. I never had this happen with a pair of Converse before. I'll be able to glue the shoe back in the few different spots this is happening, but I shouldn't have to. Disappointed in Converse and wondering if this is the new norm under Nike ownership. Sad.

These are by far the best pair of converse and value for money! I was a bit sceptical about buying these through amazon, but they are genuine. So comfy, fit perfectly, came in the thin converse box and arrived really quick. Defiantly worth the price.

Good fit, well sized, comfortable and look great too. All you'd expect from Converse trainers. Arrived in good time, well packaged and in excellent condition.
