I can't even contain myself right now from all the feels, mostly excitement cause that Slade... OMFG to the max. Damn that man is hot! And if you can't get enough of his body, wait until he opens his mouth, he'll have you begging for it and get you there without even touching you. He's that good! He is the ultimate playboy, in the best way. Idk how I could even make sense now, I'm a little flustered. I finished it last night and today I'm still freaking out. This man is sex-on-a-stick and so delicious you want to lick him up... everywhere. And that's just his body, the things he can do with the English language is beyond erotic, beyond anything I could even explain. The man is unbelievably hot!Victoria Ashley just got on my automatic reading list, if the woman publishes a book I'm reading it, no questions asked.This book is the sexiest, most erotic book I've read.Okay, onto the story. Slade is an erotic dancer at a club where he meets Aspen. He's teasing her because he wants in her pants, then he finds out that she is the new temporary roommate, even more of a challenge for him. He has to have her, but he has rules; you only get to ride the Slade train once and if you agree, you are in for the best night of your life, guaranteed. Oh he'll show you a good time alright, for a price, it's only once and What. A. Shame. Cause after being with Slade you're ruined for every other guy, and that's exactly how he likes it; being every woman's fantasy.Aspen is staying with her friend Cale for a week, she needs to get away from her life and take a breather. When she comes to Cale's place of work which is a club/male strip club she sees Slade paying extra attention to her. It makes her uncomfortable, she's disgusted with him dancing half naked with women drooling over him. She tried do hard to keep her legs closed but Slade is too good at getting women to bed him, he knows their weaknesses and can talk so dirty it turns you on. But he's a male slut and she's not interested in being one of his conquests. But when she can't fight him or her treacherous body any longer, she gives in and she hates it. He seems to know what she needs and he wants to give it to her, but when his jealousy gets in the way, he finds that he might want to break his rules for her and be with her again.My favorite parts are when Aspen tries to fight against her lust for for Slade. He wants her and will stop at nothing to get her. He teases her so much with words and with actions. He gave her a striptease in front of the whole club that was unmistakably the hottest thing I've ever read. His view was that she needed to see hoe excited she made him feel, but it only embarrassed her to no end. Slade likes that she won't give in, he likes a challenge, he's convinced that he's going to get her and can't wait. He's the talk of the town, he's been with many women and they don't skimp on the details of how good he is.When these two find out each others secrets, it is a ground breaking explosion. It is an earth shattering experience for both of them to learn their secrets. Their stories are heartbreaking and difficult, Slade's more so but Aspen's story is also sad. They have a lot to work through as they learn their feelings for each other and as they develop. Their relationship(if you can call it that) was rough, impulsive, explosive, and very satisfying. As we learn their secrets we see them as differently as they see each other, their vulnerable sides are exposed and so are their hearts. But with their heart on their sleeves, someone is bound to get hurt, but who would it be? And can they go back to living their lives as if they didn't know each other or will their lives never be the same?The other characters were really great as well, no annoying best friends in this book. Cale was Slade's roommate and Aspen's sister's best friend from childhood. Cale was really nice to Aspen in letting her stay with him for a week to get her head straight. He was an equally good friend to Slade, they worked together and lived together and he was there when Slade needed someone. Cale was supportive and protective of his friends, not mention hot. So is Hemy, who is also a sex machine, haha. Aspen has the hots for Hemy as well but Slade won't have that, he wants her all to himself even before he was with her. I'm so glad that Hemy and Cale are getting their own books, I can't wait to read them. There's a sneak peak at Hemy's story and it sounds so good.I could not get enough of this book! The feels were overwhelming and my pulse was on overdrive. What an exciting read, I didn't want it to end, this did not feel like a novella at all. So much happened, yet it leaves you wanting more, much more. I haven't read anything like it, simply spectacular!

Aspen is in town visiting Cade a childhood friend. He works at a strip clubWith 2 of his best friend. Slade is a man running from heartbreak and guilt. He just wants to sleep with women and move to the next, till Aspen walks in and she is fighting her own issues and is attracted to Slade, but has to much to work through. Can they stay away or will they burn together?

Slade is a smoking hot man whore who uses sex, booze and cigarettes to forget his past. Aspen runs to her lifelong friend, Slade's roommate, to help her deal with some relationship trouble of her own. Slade and Aspen clash and sparks fly. They both need to work out their problems in order to see if they can have anything together.I got so mad at Slade I wanted to throat punch him and then he goes and says something that makes me cry and I begin to understand him a little. He is extremely sexy in both his looks and his sex talk. Aspen frustrated me with her back and forth until I found out about her past too. I understand why some reviewers described her as weak but I think we have all known someone who has stayed in a situation much longer than her friends said they should. These characters seemed like real people in a highly sexualized profession. The writing was great too. There were a few things that could have been explained a bit better such as why is Aspen's friend not around that much? Why do the characters spend so much time at this club and nowhere else? For a short story, though it has a lot more story than I expected. It was very well done. If I didn't mention it, the sex scenes were amazing too!

Page one had me squirming in my seat. It even gets better a few pages later. Oh My! Slade knows how to f*** and Victoria Ashley knows how to write a sex scene. Better than that she knows how to write many scorching-panty-changing scenes and some hotter sexual tension moments.Let me give you a little insight of the guys first. Have three good friends who strip at Walk Of Shame. Slade and Cale also bartend there on the side. There is Slade who likes to have sex than the average male. Cale who does not sleep with woman. He only pleasures them and lets them pleasure him. Hemy who likes threesomes and goes both ways (not sure yet how far he goes with another male, might have limits set). But there is more to them than just stripping and pleasuring woman. Slade story has proven that. They would never harm a woman or make them do something they do not want to do. There is a reason they are working at Walk Of Shame. Since I know what brought Slade there, I am curious now what led Cale and Hemy there. I loved the boy club feel. They are a hoot together. Would of liked a little bit more time with just them, but that is me just being greedy. Now Where can I get a Walk Of Shame guy!Slade at the moment I am crushing on with his yummy Tattoos and sexy moves. Ok I will not lie I am lusting over. Sex is a distraction for him to keep his demons buried deep inside. Finding out about his past did break me a little. He knows how to pleasure a woman not only with his tongue but with his delicious dirty talking mouth. He likes sex dirty and rough. The rougher the better for him so he does not have to feel any emotions.His has rules that he never breaks and there is a reason why he created these rules. He only does one night stands that he never lets a woman sleep over night. He does not sleep with the same woman twice. He does not lead them on, they all know what he is about. He does not drink and drive. He is used to woman wanting him, never has had anybody tell him no until Aspen. Love that girl! He had never had to work for something so bad and Aspen made him work for her hard. That girl got him working so hard for her that he does stuff he would never do. One scene I loved so much and actually had me giggling a little. I just could not believe the lengths he would go to just to get into her pants. Wish I could share the scene with you all but I would rather it be a surprise like it was for me. What I loved more was his alpha male attitude, possessiveness and jealous moments. These traits are what I like in my heroes. Was even better Victoria Ashley placed them nicely through out the novel and were written well. Not once did I feel something was thrown in just to give it a possessive or jealous moment. Watching him show any emotions especially when he is not even with Aspen is truly the best.I have never read about a male stripper before and enjoyed all their moments in the bar. Victoria Ashley's writing voice is nice as I was able to get lost into the story and loved all the characters. She knows how to write an erotic story that is not one sex scene after another. Hemy is up next in Walk Of Shame series, that so far seems to be a promising series. I look forward to see how he is in the bedroom and curious how far he would go with another male. This was the first book that I've read by this author, but I've had the book on my kindle for a while. I have mixed feelings on this book, because the first half I wasn't keen on, the stripping, the meaningless sex, the attitude, it just didn't sit well with me. Then Aspen, she annoyed the life out of me for the first 60% of the book. She took blowing hot and cold to a new level. However, then the story changed. The back story to Slade come out, the back story to Aspen come out, and the dynamics changed. The characters changed in the blink of an eye and my heart broke for Slade. Then it ends, and I'm desperate for more. I just felt the beginning of the book was pointless sex, stripping, and more sex, but the real story was over before it really begun. I will have to read book 2, just to see what happens with Slade and Aspen, because so much was left unanswered.This is a quick story, and if you like a lot of sex scenes and harsh talk this is a book for you.

This is my first Victoria Ashley book and I really enjoyed it, although it wont be everyone's cup of tea.It is a smutty, hedonistic, slightly perverse and (a little bit) heart-wrenching tale of a guy called Slade and a girl called Aspen.Slade works in a strip bar and will bang any female that moves, but only once.Aspen has run to her life-long friend (Slade's room-mate) as her relationship hit the skids.Aspen most definitely wasn't looking for any kind of romantic entanglement, never mind an entanglement with a guy like Slade. But! The entanglement and attachment happens and I'm sure you can imagine the shenanigans and heartbreaks that occur as a result.I found Slade's manwhoreishness to be a lot to handle while reading this book, and I like to think I can handle a lot. I wanted to beat him over the head with a blunt object at various points throughout the - fairly short - book, but I loved watching him fall, loved learning about his heartbreaking past and how he became the person he is, watching him come back to life and want to reach for something meaningful again.Of course, when he reaches for that something meaningful Aspen's past chucks a spanner in the works and makes me want to clobber her over the nut with a blunt object so, it was a book of emotional ups and downs.The book ends with a nice enough happy for now, but I would have liked an epilogue or something to see of they stand the test of time as I'm not 100% convinced they will, which sucked just a little bit. I like to know the characters I've invested time and emotion in are happy. (Yes, yes, I know they aren't real...)Maybe we'll get to see some more of them in future Walk Of Shame books and that will alleviate my concerns?Anyway, the writing was good, the characters (main and secondary) were certainly interesting and engaging and if you are not adverse to a good amount of smut, give it a go! I'll certainly be picking up the next in the series.

This short novella really packs a sexy punch!I love Slade, Cale and Hemy and I want them all to dance for me please.For a short novella this book has a lovely story.Slade is a damaged and tortured man he uses sex to numb the past hurt, he cannot feel it’s just too painful for him, drink and meaningless sex are what gets him through the day, that is until Aspen walks into his life.Aspen isn’t like all the other women Slade is used too, she doesn’t fall at his feet she’s feisty. Slade shouldn’t want her, Aspen shouldn’t want him , but they have a pull towards each other.Slade and Aspen practically combust when together, they are sexy hot, melt into a puddle hot.When Slade reveals the reason why he acts the way he does my heart strings pulled so tight I wanted to hug him right along with Aspen, then when Aspens secret is revealed I wanted to slap he silly, I was thinking hasn’t he been hurt enough.I loved this story it was a wonderful bit of escapism, well written with great main characters and really good secondary characters that I cannot wait to read more from.

Oh my I totally loved this book. This has been sitting on my kindle for ages, I just happened to flick through and thought I'll give that a read. I am so glad I did. Very well written, passionate and a lovely lovely story of a bad boy come good with a tragic past. God I love Slade. He is bad, tattoed, sexy, dirty, rude and hot as hell. You'll be clenching your thighs together at the hot sex scene's. He on destruction mode, he drinks too much, smokes too much and has way too many women, he's like a robot with Duracell batteries in. Along comes Aspen, vunerable and on a break, coming home for a few weeks to catch up with friends. The attraction is instant, but both are broken in their own ways and they don't know how to deal with these feelings.This book is a must read, their are 3 in the series "The Walk Of Shame". I am just about to start Hemy which is the second and Cale is the third. Fantastic

The lead male Slade is a damaged and tortured man who uses sex with random women to blunt his pain. He's a stripper at a club called The Walk of Shame. He lives with his best friend Cale who is also a stripper at the same club. When Aspen a long time friend of Cale comes to stay, she's attracted to Slade. But he has a rule he only ever has sex with a women once. Aspen is determined to resist Slade, she has no intention of being another one night stand in the very long list.I quite liked the characters in this story, but it was rather difficult to feel a deeper connection between them other than lust. There's plenty of sex in this, and Slade certainly likes to talk dirty. I didn't quite get how Aspen found it hot watching other women paw at Slade, but then this isn't a traditional romance. But if your looking for a hot read with plenty of sexual content and not much in the way of a plot this fits the bill.
