Loads and loads of fun
Hours of fun...can be played by all ages...clean family fun... we have played for hours without running out of cards.Wow wow wow. I had so much fun playing this game, it has paid for itself many times over in fun. It is one of the few games that I have that I can truly say can be played by all ages, it is a uniting force at family get-togethers.I would highly recommend the purchase of this game for anyone who’s interested in enjoying themselves at family get-togethers, parties or even at work functions. The object of the game is to get persons on your team to say certain words but there are certain other words which are taboo in which you may not see in trying to get your team members to save the particular word which has been assigned to you. It is necessary that to be very creative in trying to put forward the word that you have been assigned, and you would have to think outside the box in order to do this. This is actually very good training for little children in training their brains to think outside the box and be creative and coming up with solutions that are smart and funny at the same time. It does not matter if you use the word in the context of another word that sounds like it, for example if the words you have been assigned is “male” then in order to get your teammates to say the word you can actually use it in the context of “mail”, or that it takes is some creativity and fun in order to enjoy yourself playing this game with your friends and family.Go ahead and purchase it right now and let the fun times begin.

it's fun!
it's a lot of fun BUT - i did not realize (or should I say realise) that when I bought it it was the european UK version. We would hit a few words that made no sense to us and finally starting really reading the box and it saw it was the UK version. Totally my own fault - i did see that it was coming from a UK company and I thought that was odd that it was less expensive than being shipped from a USA company but I just didn't put two & two together. It's still fun - we just have to skip some of the words.

I succumb to the hype and wish I didn't
It's ok. Just ok. Amazon had a price drop so I picked it up....I woulda actually been a little upset had I spent more on it. It takes a lot of concentration and player involvement. When we have friends over for "game night" we wait until the boys go to bed and then have some drinks and play. This is too involved to be much fun. One person has to look for wrong words another has to watch the time and half the time it takes someone else to do the buzzer because the person watching the word card buzzes for the wrong reason (overzealousness). Too much work, but still OK........

awesome group game
I have the original taboo. This one has some spins including the dice and of course each card has two words so you get double the words. The dice is ok. Not genius or anything. You can play without it the regular way. Basically this new version is mostly worth it for the new words. The difficulty is about the same as the old version. Both are awesome.

Can't wait for games night
Have played the original Taboo before and I loved it so much decided to get a game of my own.At the beginning was sceptical of getting this new version cause the original is so great but I love this one..have played it once and so far the side we played on were relatively simple clues...also loving the fact that each card is 4 sided ..more clues

It is fun and educational
My friends and I have lots of fun by playing this game. It is difficult not say any of the "taboo words" or any other synonym or words related to them and just use different words or expressions to make your partner get the word. It is also educational since teachers can play this game with EFL students to make them practice vocabulary.

Fight Starter
haha maybe we are more competitive that I realized? I loved this game as a teenager so was excited to get it for my kids now that they are 13 (twins). but wow we end up in a huge fight every time we play -- what is wrong with us. Let's just say we argue about the nitty gritty.
