It IS soft and supple. This replaced my 25 yr. old Swan hose. The connectors are robust and easy to use. Good at resisting kinking . Great hose.

So, I'm a gardener. I use a lot of garden hose every year. I have had a Swan Soft & Supple hose for about 20 years and it's been one of the best hoses, bar none, that I ever owned, it didn't kink, it was sturdy, easy to coil and I loved it. So, this year when I decided to replace some of my hose that was getting tired I decided to go with Soft & Supple again since I so liked it. Only, somewhere in the last 20 years or so Swan changed something. As you may have noticed it's not cheap hose but if you use garden hose much at all, you know that cheap hose is just that, cheap hose. It's a pain to deal with. This Swan hose is not soft & supple at all; try hard and miserable to work with. All the joys of nasty, cheap hose with the cost of good high quality hose. Do not waste your money. You are much better off buying Apex Never Kink or Flexzilla hose. Much, much superior product to this junk that tries to pretend it's good quality.

I had a Soft and Supple garden hose for about 20 yrs. and it just wore out. Since I had such good luck with that brand, I decided to purchase another one this year. It is NOT the same quality as my previous one. The hose is 50 ft. long and is very hard to handle for me. It is NOT soft and supple and even after stretching it out in the sun it does not coil up easily on my hose caddy. I doubt I will keep this one for 20 yrs.

Great American made garden hose, hope it will serve me many years. Soft and supple as it should, no kinking. One thing was noticed that for the first week of use the water coming through this new garden hose was with some phenol smell. Probably leached out of newly made rubber.

I purchased one of these exact garden hoses approximately 20 years ago and I'm still using it. It ruptured twice, both times near the end, so I cut it off added new ends and it works fine. This is ABSOLUTELY the BEST GARDEN HOSE on the Market!!! I purchased a new one, just to have in case I needed it, and it's of the same quality as my first one. Thanks for making a Great Product that holds up over time.

I have had a SWAN Soft & Supple hose for several years. It is the best hose ever. Pliable, no leaks, no kinks, sturdy, lasts for years sitting in the strong Florida sunlight. I wanted another for the other side of the house. Of course, I expected the same product when I chose the 50 ft heavy duty Swan Soft & Supple for $30.What a disappointment!Much smaller diameter. Although 5/8 should still be 5/8. This thing kinks if you just look at it. If that wasn't bad enough, it leaks like crazy at the crimp on the non-faucet end so it's dripping down your arm while you try to use it. Absolute junk!Did they just cut back on quality or did I buy the cheap version? I don't know, but Swan Soft & Suppple 5/8 is what I thought I already own. UGH!And $30 is not cheap

Hose is NOT soft & supple. Very disappointed. The hose I was replacing is the same brand and IS soft & supple.

The hose kinks and is immovable at lower (non freezing) temperatures. It feels like a cheapo Rona product

I specifically purchased this hose because it said it was soft and supple, I wanted to replace a cheap vinyl hose that I kept on my deck because that was so hard to roll up, so I have good news and bad news. The good news is that brass ends on this hose are of a substantial quality, the bad news is that this hose is absolutely not soft and supple, it is as equally rigid as the cheap vinyl hose I was replacing, very disappointing, by far the most misleading product description I have ever had on the many items I have purchased from Amazon.
