I'm Done!

All too often, young children proclaim, "I'm done!" when in reality, they have finished just a small part of their task. This wonderful story teaches children to look at the bigger picture, to project outcomes, and to hang in there until they reap the rewards from a completed project . Beautifully written, with the sweet sensitivity I've come to expect from author Gretchen Brandenburg McLellan, this book is a must for parents and teachers alike.

One of my daughters loved "Mrs. McBee Leaves Room 3" by the same author. So I bought her this newly published book, "I'm Done!" . She said,"I like the book because it showed Little Beaver's hard work to make a dam. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars." Maybe she is a little too young to understand the whole message in this book, but she loved the story and illustrations.

Beautiful illustrations and a very good story. Bought to go along with a pond life unit study, it has become a favorite to read again and again. The kids love to chime in when little beaver says I’m done!

Writing for children can be difficult at best. Gretchen has done a fabulous job of teaching about hard work and dedication and the rewards that go with it on a simple level. Keep up the great work.

I bought this for grandkids, but it's my daughter who will love it even more. The message of persistence is timeless, and the delivery is charming and uplifting. Don't miss this one!

A fun and stimulating book! Love the sound words for each animal and the way facts about beavers and dam building were presented.
