Teachers of/ABSOLUTE Beginners ONLY!
If anyone is familiar with the Tarot School [...], this book is writen by the authors of that site and all of it's course offerings. They have also wrote a book titled 'The Secret Teachings of Tarot'.First, let me mention that this book is incredibly short, in comparison to most Tarot literature. I read it in a span of a couple hours (between 2-3 hours, at most). While the book certainly lives up to it's title, I am disappointed with it's content. Expecting more in-depth tips and tricks of the trade, I was sincerely disappointed with this read, especially considering it's rave reviews on Aeclectic.net and here. While this book is a collective of "Tips" and Q & A's, I found nothing new or insightful (and I am roughly a beginner!). If you already own a collection of Tarot literature, whether they are "beginners reads" or workbooks, or read and research Tarot information on the web, I am almost certain this book will have nothing new for you.The information in this book is however, not entirely useless. If you are a beginner and have not read much on the Tarot, and have plenty of Tarot related questions, this book might be for you. I also think that anyone who teaches Tarot would find this a good read to find ways to approach many questions beginners may have. However, owning and have read many books on Tarot, I found this book to be a collective rehash of much of the information I have encountered elsewhere, in a very brief and watered down version. Not only was the majority of the content disappointing, but I truely feel that this book put a lot of emphasis on their products and services of The Tarot School. Appendix II was a section entirely devoted to their School. While it made an interesting read, and provided an outline of suggestions for those thinking of starting their own Tarot courses, it only stressed their already almost overbearing emphasis on their company. By the end of this book, I had learned more about their School than I did about Tarot!

Lacking the topic “the accuracy of readings” !!!!!!!!!
This is a very interesting book of Tarot tips in a question and answer format. It provides very specific tips on decks, cards and card handling; interpretation and meaning; reading techniques; spreads; other things you can do with tarot; and ethics. There were some comments under the section “interpretation and meaning”, card combinations, which are very specific and personal by the authors. Also, the interpretation of cards related health reading is personal. As an example, the 10 of swords may mean: death; acupuncture; internal bleeding; nervous disorder; back surgery; slipped disk; chiropractic; immune system; and exhaustion. On this topic, the reader has the option to separate what seems coherent or not. The Appendix II, “The Tarot School Story” is interesting. One thing which is very important for me and was not included in the book is a discussion or section on the “accuracy of the readings”, especially if the authors have had the opportunity to discuss and register this subject since they started their Tarot School more than 10 years ago. This is a topic which is almost never discussed in Tarot books but there is sometimes the infrastructure and the resources to investigate, analyze and register it like in this opportunity. A serious study on this great topic is lacking hugely. I hope we can see it in the future in any tarot book.

This is a must-have for every Tarot reader at any level.
This is one of the best guides for reading Tarot that I've ever read. Ruth and Wald Amberstone are successful teachers for a reason, they're able to clearly communicate many aspects of reading Tarot in a way that is easy to understand and digest. This is a fast read that will be difficult to put down until you're done, and one that I'll reference often during the rest of my career because there's so much good information in it. A great resource for any level of Tarot reader!

Very useful questions and answers on Tarot readings
This book has not left my side since it arrived. The questions were submitted by people like me, and the answers ring true. I recommend this book for any Tarot student to gain a better understanding of Querents and Readers of the Tarot. There are also questions on how to read for one's self, which are answered in detail. If you are a student of Tarot, I highly recommend this book.

Helpful tool for all
This book is excellent for people seeking answers. It's a bit like having a mentor to answer some basic and some advanced questions. In a Q&A format, information ranges from spreads, types of decks, specific styles of reading, and esoteric views of tarot.Easy to understand, and clear in its expectation you take away what you need, but not a dogmatic approach.
