I have ordered multiple boxes of the UltraSac 33-gal 50-pack 3-mil contractor bags. Every time, more than 50% of them split along the folding creases. Every time without fail. And it’s not happening due to heavy weight! They split when I unfold them and shake them open! I will no longer order them and I urge others to not waste money. They split right where the bags are folded. Very poor quality, and no point buying them, regardless of the price. No matter how good of a deal, a trash bag that splits open even when empty, is worthless.

We use 3 mil contractor bags from Lowes daily and NEVER have a problem with tearing, ripping, splitting or ANY TYPE of failure. If you hold this junk in one hand and another bag commonly sold at Lowes, also rated at 3 mil....shouldn't they feel the same? WELL THEY DON'T! NOT REMOTELY CLOSE!!! These tore apart with lightweight plastic items in them and as stated in many other reviews, the boxes were damaged upon arrival, though I don't believe that had anything to do with the crap quality of these bags. Now I have to double bag everything just to make sure I'm not having spills, which no longer makes this the value purchase it was advertised to be. DON'T BE A SUCKER!!! THEY ARE TRASH!

3 mil contractor bags can be very difficult to find and in the past I have paid significantly more. I previously used "HUSKY" 3 mil contractor bags, but found the the expense too high (nearly $1/ bag). I was happy to find this product at a much more easonable price (50 bags for just under $20) and even more thrilled about the outstanding quality.When I ordered the Husky bags I hesitated to "waste" them because of the expense. The ultrasac is only 40 cents per bag- I have now found so many useful ways to use these heavy duty bags.I use these bags to consolidate my lighter weight trash bags so that animals do not get into the trash. When tied closed these bags do not attract the squirrels and racoons that often get into our trash.I am also using these bag to clean out my garage which has many heavy and irrefgularly shaped objects. Not one tear yet.One last "off label" use: LINE YOUR LARGE KITTY LITTER BOX WITH A BAG SPLIT DOwN THE MIDDLE TO ABOuT 12 INCHES BEFORE THE END then trim the edges to fit your litter box). Much more durable and less expensive than the liner bags available at my local pet store. I have 2 cats and change my litter about one a week. It is so wonderful not to have to deal with scratches at the bottom of the box leading to kitty litter all over ythe floor - so messy to clean up.A great product at a reasonable price!

If you need a heavy weight trash bag that can hold up to heavyweight garbage or that you need to stuff with yard waste, this is your bag.We use them when cleaning out the pantry of expired items or tossing old paint cans and such from the shop, garage, or basement. And certainly during yard cleanup for lots of leaves, clippings, and small branches (cut down to size so the branch is narrower than the bag so the sharp edges will not puncture it.)Like any bag the key is to use your best judgment regarding the weight you are putting in the bag and the distance you need to move the bag with that weight in it.We have found that the best guide to fill capacity is if you can still lift the bag off the ground. If it is too heavy for me to lift, it is certainly too heavy for the Bag to hold.I highly recommend the Ultrasac brand for quality and value. We use their 1.4mil as a Trash Can Liner and the 3mil or 4mil for everything else that has any real weight to it.

Awesome bags unbeatable price. I was a little but skeptical with some of the reviews I read about the bags ripping and issues with the seams but glad I purchased anyhow. We had a very large spring clean up this year after several construction projects and these bags held up wonderfully to all sorts of materials. ( brick, wood, lawn waste, shingles etc) They dont tear through,they dont break when full. Another plus is we wanted a smaller version than a 50 gallon so we could actually carry them to the curb when we filled them and these worked out perfect ( 30 gallon bags). Highly recommend and you cant beat the price compared to local stores where you might get 15 or 20 bags for about the same cost.

They look just like the Ruffiies contractor bags I've been using for many years. They do smell a little strange, but at least it's not perfumy and you don't notice it once you put it in the trash can.When I first started using trash bags, I noticed how they all leak and are flimsy. So, I went right to contractor bags for my household garbage, which almost never leak. If my garbage starts to smell, I add more stuff to the top and eventually it stops smelling. I do this until it is completely full. I have a 30 gallon trash container and I don't want to waste good garbage bags.Also, the price is great, because Berry Plastics 618843 Ruffies 33 Gallon Black Contractor bags are nearly the same bag and they are over $1 a bag! Maybe now I can afford to take the trash out before it is so heavy I can hardly lift it!UPDATE: These are a little shorter than the Ruffies, but still ok. They seem to hold up ok, I'm not sure they are quite as good as the Ruffies, but very close. I will keep buying them.

I have not purchased contractor bags for a while so I don’t have any others to compare these to....They seems strongs enough but I did notice one bag ripped easily with a hard plastic item in it. My reason for my one star review is that these bags smell HORRIBLE. They reek like cigarette smoke. Every single one of them. Considering that I purchased them to use mainly for packing soft goods and clothing for a move, this is the worst possible smell ever. YUCK.
