Don’t travel without it!
Very impressed in the skin protection this provides. It’s thick when applying but smoothes right out and does not leave residue. Good sized container for your dollar. Works great!

saved my thighs
I am a thunder thighs girlie and trust me when I tell you I have tried it all.... This became my holy grail in my most recent trip. It works so well specially if you get wet! I put this on before I went down to the pool and swam for a while and it still stayed. There is no white cast as long as you distribute it really well and avoid your clothing.

I used this for a 6 mile run and still got some chafe so for longer events I use another product
I use a few of different anti-chafe products and order this one to compare to my goto product. GurneyGoo. GurneyGoo has a petrolatum base which is highly water (sweat) resistant, this product lists its first ingredient as water. In fact many of the products I've tried list water as their first ingredient. My experience with using both is that Blue Steel is ok for shorter bouts of exercise or dry conditions but not where you are going long or expect to be wet. It's more cream like to apply and when I used it on a common chafe point for long runs (6 miles) I definitely did get a little chafe as my post run shower told me! I was concerned when I applied it as I could basically wash it off my hands with water even without soap. With GurneyGoo that is not the case, it's a thicker product and highly water repellent, no water in the ingredient list. I can tell even a day later and after a shower that GurneyGoo is still on the skin, it really is different in this aspect, it stays on for much longer and resists water and chafe very well. In fact the best way to get GurneyGoo off my hands after application is to not try washing it off, but to simply wipe your hands with a dry towel, this leaves my hand feeling protected and dry. Both products contain Tea Tree oil, Blue Steel lists it as the 8th of 11 products on their list of ingredients while GurneyGoo list it as the 4th of 4. GurneyGoo has that pleasant tea tree oil smell when you apply it, it's obvious it has a much greater concentration of tee tree oil than Blue Steel. You can not really smell the oil in Blue Steel. Overall Blue Steel is not the product for someone like myself that does long durations events and often in wet conditions. It may be more for those who do not like the smell of tee tree oil and need a water based product for their skin and are not working out in wet or humid conditions.

100% effective for me
If you have any chafing issues this is what you've dreamed of. Even in the gym after working out and sweating for an hour it is still effective. This is now a part of my normal shower routine - after every shower I put this on and I don't worry about the horror of chafing. Other commenters have said there is an odor - I don't smell any odor. It is like a lotion that is not greasy, doesn't get on any clothes. I paid around $16 for it - that may seem expensive but it will likely last a few months and paying $8-9/month to have no painful chafing is 100% worth it. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.

Compared to Lanacane.
I purchased both this and Lanacane. This product is a white cream while Lanacane is gel. Blue steel spreads better and covers a larger area. You need to allow this to dry. It does not seem to have the silky feel of the lanacane. It does have a slight odor. Not bad. Tree tea oil. My daughter noticed it and she has a poor sense of smell. I actually look at this as a plus depending on where you are putting it. Instead of smelling like sweat after exercise, you smell like tree oil. While I did not chafe with this product. I liked the Lanacane better but I am still experimenting with both products. I find that exercise is much better with an anti chafe product. Places that I thought were skin tears, turned out to be chafed areas. All these problems have gone away with the use of these products.

Waterpark savior!
I bought this after my last trip to the waterpark with my kids and just had a chance to use it! Game changer! I would say it needed to dry/cure a bit and had a strange feel on my skin at first but it was so worth it after getting in the park and walking with wet skin and damp swimsuit! This will be a staple in my beach bag from now on! I’m so happy I found it! I was doubtful it could work but glad I tried!

I live in AZ so I’m the true test
I grew up in AZ and with thicker legs all my life from sports growing up to plus size as a adult and trying all the other chafing creams at the store I just gave up and did shorts under my dresses and skirts but this stuff works amazing, I got the travel packets and they work well for traveling but not for at home in summer time cuz I never want to run out so I savored them but then Amazon showed this bottle of it to me and I decided to get it cuz I knew I loved it, only thing that need to remember is apply a good amount and let it air dry, I have tried to put the thinnest layer on and then not get the entire area that rubs so that spot got irritated, I’ve also never had to reapply so that’s so nice not having to keep it on my purse
