Very easy to use and everything you need to make unscented soy candles at home!
This candle making kit is awesome, especially for the price! I had not made container candles before and it was super easy to use, the instructions were easy to understand. I will say that the amount of wax included is only enough to make about 14-15 ounces, as I made two 6.5 ounce container candles and I poured the leftover wax onto my fragrance warmer (not sure the exact amount, but I’m guessing around 2 ounces). No fragrances nor dyes are included, so keep in mind you’d have to purchase those as well as more wax to make more candles. I do wish that the instructions were more clear on what temperature to melt the wax to, and when to add fragrance (at what temperature). There are no instructions for what temperatures to do for either of these, it just says to melt the wax until it’s no longer cloudy. For me, I believe that happened around 165 degrees Fahrenheit, or maybe higher. I added the fragrance at that temperature, the lowest I added would have been 150. I stirred in the fragrance oil slowly for 2 minutes so it could really bind with the wax. I did these temperatures based on YouTube reviews on soy wax, which is this wax type. It seemed to work well for me, as the candles I made have a very nice cold throw (you can smell them when they’re unlit). I have not lit them to test because they will most likely be gifts, but I am optimistic that they will smell lovely as they burn also. I recommend pouring the wax into the container at around 130-135 degrees, because I poured at around 145 degrees and I think it was still a little too hot. I say this because after my wax had set for 30-60 minutes, there was a hole on the top nearby the wick on both candles. I looked up that this is often caused by temperature difference between the wax and its container, and if the container is too cool and the wax is too hot, it can cause issues with how the wax sets and can cause holes.Anyway, overall an excellent product. You get everything you need to make unscented, soy wax container candles at an amazingly low price and value. I had no issues whatsoever with the pitcher, it was very easy to pour wax and to melt wax. Usually I could touch the handle without it hurting my hand; often it was the steam from the hot water that would hurt more, but I would turn down the heat because you don’t want the water to boil too much anyways when melting wax (or so I’ve read).

Great start for beginners!
I was nervous to make candles, always wanted to but thought it would be hard. This kit however made it extremely easy! I purchased candle dyes to make different colors and used yogurt OUI glass jars to pour the wax into. I measured 1 and a half cups for the OUI jars and that capped out almost perfectly (had to dump just a little leftover into the trash but if I had been motivated enough I could have made a tiny tealight candle with the leftover (but that would be challenging due to such small size ) I read several reviews about this product before ordering it and was hesitant to order due to so many comments about the wick going out fast and candle wax tunneling into a small column not ever really using most of the candle. That was not the case maybe it was the type of containers I used for the wax (Oui yogurt jars) but mine came out wonderfully and burned just fine and did not tunnel. The scent isn't that great I would recommend trying to add scents later after you get comfortable with the making of candles for the first few times but I imagine it wouldn't be that tough to add. It does not come with a thermometer so if you really want to be anal about temperatures etc then purchase a candy thermometer that is said to work well based on other reivews I read. Happy creating! May your homes burn bright and lovely!

Nice beginner's kit, hot plate not necessary
I'm a total candle-making beginner so I wanted a kit that had everything, including the hot plate because why not. The kit is great for making a few candles and learning the basics. The instructions are helpful (the English is iffy but you still get the point). They also warn that you might see some smoke come off the hot plate the first time you use it. After seeing for myself how much smoke was coming off it, plus the smell, I put it out on my balcony and opted to make a double boiler with some boiling water and the metal pitcher that came with the kit. (Maybe I would have given the hot plate more of a chance if I wasn't in an apartment where an alarm going off would potentially disturb everyone in the building.)TLDR: Great kit for beginners but you really don't need the hot plate. If you have a stove, a double boiler is really easy to make.

Good Starter Kit
Nice kit for candle making. The stainless canister is what I really needed. It holds enough wax for about 3 small candles. Getting the soy pellets was a nice addition. I also ordered beeswax pellets. I purchased another for a gift basket for a friend's birthday. She got candle making supplies and some homemade candles too!

The candle mix end results doesn't look the same.
OK for beginners but the only thing I don't like this thing does not keep The smell of the fragrance that well! I keep The degree at 140 or lower. This soy candle drowns out the fragrance and I put a lot of fragrance into it the second time around trying to figure out what's going on? Seems like I Gotta add the fragrance once the wax is melted by the heat below to add to smell but when I mix it in it for the wax there's barely any order after everything melts! The candle smell great before I light it smells wonderful but once it heats up and melts to a liquid form the smell goes away. I got to add droplets for the smell to stand out. Maybe if I use a different wax I found a great smell but the perfume or the fragrance but the end results ain't that good the only thing I can think of is the wax just something without any order maybe? I'm trying to figure out why it's not working I found a great smell and I tried to replicate it by making my own but the wax I'm trying to duplicate they don't make for home use??? Maybe if I had to ats and craft store to figure out what's up and why is not working maybe I'll try a little more expensive perfume next week to see if that's the problem but I think it's a wax. That fragrance I bought has really high ratings but let's try the wax first to see if that's a problem.
