Great brushes! The set includes excellent sizes, they look beautiful, feel comfortable, and hold water and pigment well. I highly recommend them!

I have an embarrassingly large collection of watercolor brushes—mostly natural hair (kolinsky sable, red sable and squirrel) and until now, had never found a synthetic brush I wanted to use. The Casaneo brushes have definitely changed that. They have a fabulous point that allows fine detail even in the largest brush, hold and release water beautifully, and have the perfect combination of flexibility and snap for me. I am completely sold on these, and find myself reaching for them over my “nicer” more expensive natural hair brushes.

I bought several round brushes plus both the quill and flat sets. The quill brushes are my favorite! Holds the paint well. Releases it evenly on the paper. Holds a lot of liquid! The round and flat brushes are great. I like the Da Vinci round better that my hella expensive Windsor & Newton brands. The Da Vinci round brushes form a point easier and holds it longer than the Windsor & Newton. I wish I had first bought these brushes. I would have stopped looking and saved money!

Better than expected. Even better than the real squirrel-fur brush I bought from Da Vinci last year. Bristles form a sharp tip and no strays. Smooth feel across paper even with wet on dry

I haven't used the brushes very often but when I do, I'm very careful with them. I don't leave any of my brushes in water and I dry them completely. So I was surprised to see last week on my #4 brush, six months after purchase, a hairline split down the length, paint chipping, and a ring around the bristles in the crimping which one I move it gently feels like it's broken. I had just used it to do some swatching, and when I put it down, I noticed the issues. The cause unknown to me. My mother is a watercolor artist and showed me her brushes that are several decades old with no issues and said that she felt this was a manufacturing problem. She advised me to contact da vinci and the amazon seller. The amazon seller said it was beyond thirty day warranty and I haven't heard back yet from daVinci. They're expensive brushes so I cannot buy another one to replace this. I'm bummed. Ironically, my mother and I were at an art store the prior weekend and she bought a set of these brushes because she liked mine so much and is now wondering if she should return them too. Her set was nearly $90 for three brushes. Is anyone having this issue? No, if this is daVinci quality, I wouldn't buy it again.

I just bought these brushes and I can tell already that they are going to be my favorite brushes. They hold water and pigment perfectly and I can paint fine details with their crisp tips. They are one of my best Amazon buys!

Magnífico este set de quills. Pinceles finos y bien elaborados que absorben gran cantidad de agua y pigmento y permiten pinceladas más consistentes. Aunque están hechos con fibras sintéticas, su comportamiento en la práctica emula maravillosamente el pelo de ardilla más fino. Este set puede suplir todas las necesidades de un artista en cuanto a pinceles. Muy complacido con la compra.

These hold so much water and yet can come to such fine points - 10/10 first impressions. Here's to hoping they last!

I had a #2 a few years ago when I started painting with watercolour. I have brushes from a few brands and generally I just use round brushes. The quill is always interesting and I really like how these ones in particular come to this very fine point. It makes painting with a larger brush easier as it's very versatile when you go from covering a large area and then just as quickly paint in fine details with the same brush. I like how soft they are. They hold quite a bit of paint and water and it seems to distribute evenly. I opted for the set so I could have a larger brush and the option to drop down. Or use the smallest for extra fine details when I don't need a loaded brush.

Estoy comenzando a pintar acuarelas y estos pinceles me resultaron maravillosos, son muy dúctiles, se pueden hacer tanto líneas finas como trazos gruesos, de hecho dibujar con ellos es divertido; cargan bastante agua y color, al mismo tiempo que recuperan bien el agua, por lo mismo las transparencias me resultaron mucho más fácil de hacer con estos pinceles. Feliz con la compra, son algo caros pero valen la pena, solo espero que me duren.

Très satisfaite après quelques exercices de manipulation pour se familiariser avec ces pinceaux. Ils conservent une grande quantité d’eau.
