AMAZING VALUE
Beautiful to look at and a joy to use. Not just a missal but with much devotional and catechitical content as well. Most importantly for me the English translation is beautiful not the usual crude simplistic language devoid of any poetic sense or reverence that degrades the Modernist Liturgy. I cannot commend this Missal with more enthusiasm, it is a joy to own a real treasure.

Five Stars
Very Good book. I really enjoy reading this book so much more depth than the usual vatican 2 missals.

Beautiful book
Beautifully produced, and ideal as a companion for the Traditional Mass. The Latin/English layout is perfectly set out and easy to follow. The coloured ribbons are very strong and wear well. Worth getting a zip missal cover to protect the book, which I recommend highly.

Comprehensive & beautifully made Missal
Although I am not Roman Catholic, rather a very Protestant Anglican, this Missal is utterly astounding, & worth every penny! Being the Missal of 1962, it contains the prayers, liturgies, & readings used in the Roman Catholic Church in Latin (with English parallel to it) according to the Tridentine Rite, which had been the official liturgy since the 16th Century’s Council of Trent.Besides that, this Missal also includes catechetical materials which explain Catholic theology, doctrine, & beliefs (including the Ten Commandments, Cardinal Virtues & Deadly Sins, & the Sacraments). Furthermore, Angelus Press included small pieces of commentary alongside the text containing the Ordinary of the Mass, which further one’s understanding of the service. These make up a lot of my reasoning for buying the Missal, as I felt it quite necessary to have a Catholic source of Catholic beliefs for the sake of mine own understanding of similarities & differences (both being quite numerous) between it & Anglicanism. The book itself is beautifully made: the cover, although false leather, is good quality, & flexes easily for lying flat & holding. The pages are gilt as shown in the photographs, & there are many illustrations throughout the Missal. The one pictured in this review is at the Missal’s beginning, & depicts Christ as the Grand High Priest. The only drawback really is the thinness of the paper, which has been mentioned in another review, so one should take care in page-turning that the they don’t crease & have separated correctly. To conclude:If you are wanting to buy a 1962 Daily Missal, this would be a very, very good choice. In fact, I feel like the Church of England’s liturgical books would greatly benefit from some of the features present in this Missal, especially multiple page ribbons (finding the Daily Office, Psalter, Lord’s Supper, & Collect, Epistle, & Gospel for the day is a challenge without them).Postage to the UK from America was fast, too, as the Missal arrived 3 days early, which was a very pleasant surprise!

Awful
Firstly the cover-plastic. Next the paper-cigarette paper . Then the font-you need the eyesight of a bush baby. At least a third of the text cannot be seen as the book does not lay flat so some is lost in the gutter. The language is beautiful but this as a product verges on the pointless.
