*Best* stitch markers *ever*
I use these as stitch markers in my knitting and crochet projects & LOVE these! You can find little packages of maybe a dozen or 20 of these on knitting/yarn websites for as much - or more - than you'll pay for 300 of these here. Since they are great "Houdini" impersonators, having scads of them is a sanity saver! You can jewelry-glue beads to the neck of them if you want greater color variations. I tried some painted-color ones a while back... the paint starts chipping & wearing off fairly quickly. These make the most sense & I do plan to glue beads to some as "beginning round" & "lace repeat" markers. The gourd shape is great as lace repeat markers on needle & virtually every kind of stitch marking purpose you might need.

They're pins
I expected 100 of each color, I actually got 106 silver, 102 brass, 94 black pins, plus three (2 brass, 1 black) that were unusable. The three duds included two which did not have the u-shaped piece required to keep the pin closed, and one that was completely mangled out of shape. In the end I am glad I received 300 pins (302 assuming all function correctly) but am disappointed that I did not receive at least 100 of the black pins. This will not affect my use for them, but something to keep in mind if you are in need of specific quantities.I have also left packaging feedback, my zip-top bag of pins was half open on arrival and couple dozen or so pins were scattered in the box (and among the pages of three small kids paperback books that were in the box with them.).

Neat jewelry "findings"
I got these intending to use them as stitch markers for my crochet... for which they're great..., but have found that they're also wonderful for jewelry making! I crocheted pairs of tiny hearts and then used these to pin them to an ear wire / french hook. They not only add a unique look to the finished earring, but eliminate the need to mess with jewelry pliers twisting open and closed a jump ring or the loop at the end of the ear hook.Simplest "findings" ever! I also goofed around with making a necklace with matching hearts strung onto a chain-crochet cord with these bitty beauties -- extremely cute. A person could make just abut any small object with a hole or loop into a "charm" to be an earring or pendant. The great thing about them is, if you don't like the look, it's easy to undo... just open the pin!Ideas are still cropping up like attaching beads and charms to dress up outfits or decor, embellishing gift tags with pinned-on dangles, mini Christmas tree ornaments, giving a few as gifts for fellow crafters....with two packages, I have 600 pins in three colors to have fun exploring!

Shorted in quantity
The pins will work great for our Girl Scout swaps for this weekend - which is why I don't want to return the product. But the ordered quantity is 300 and I received 124. Not happy about that at all. Count them when you get them.
