This leather is very thick and seems like good quality stitching and material, the reason I rated it 3 stars though is because I took it to an auto upholstery guy and it took them a lot of elbow grease and effort to get it to fit on the console lid. It would have cost me over 100 dollars to have it installed at a shop but luckily I found a guy who worked from home and he charged me 60, and I got the feeling that was cutting me a deal even. He showed me how the leather barely fit over the front corners and told me that was after stretching it and working the leather a lot. If you are going to buy this be prepared to spend 100+ to get it installed. It might be cheaper to have an auto upholsterer to just do it themselves with their own leathers they have. It does look really good though :)

The product itself is absolutely gorgeous! However, the reviews about what it would actually cost to have it installed were grossly exaggerated. The first upholsterer I took it to, couldn't even figure out how to disassemble the console without breaking any clips and I was quoted between $65-$100 for labor. I had to take it to another upholsterer.. He had the car for a couple of hours... I was charged $125.00 for labor which is about $100 more than what the reviews had touted. I'm VERY happy with the leather piece...but I would advise that you check your local Upholstery shops to get more accurate information about what to expect for labor charges.

Awesome product, but you need a pneumatic upholstery stapler with to install which I already have from re-upholstering my dining room chairs. You need 1/8" leg staples to install as the plastic it attaches to is very thin. Fits And looks like dream when done and looks better than the ratty vinyl that my car came with. Beware, before installing look around the web for how to install arm rest cover if you don't have any upholstery experience. As for other reviews that it's too tight, I find that it has to be tight for a good fit. With some basic upholstery techniques it's actually quiet easy to install.

First off - why can't this have more material than the original. This is about 1/4 of an inch smaller than the original. There is no reason additional material could be provided to make the replacement reasonable. The leather material is very inflexible and stapling this into place was challenging. The aauphoster website shows this link: [...]which completely fails to explain how to attempt to make this thing fit and install. There was also a crease in the material due to the way it was folded and packet - likely sitting under a pile of the same items under weight. The quality of this leather was also not as great as others described. The leather is a much more course feeling and does not match the original. It certainly stands out and not in a good way. Heating the material did nothing to help with the install process - which is more like wrestling to install something that is 2 sizes too small. I strongly recommend not wasting your money on this product. I really do not understand why the manufacture skimped on the material.

Work great on my car console and it made of leather..But told a little hard work to put it onto my console..Cause the product was on the little small size..wish it was a little bigger so it would be easy to install on..But overall.. Good Leather Cover for my car center console..

Bought this real leather console cover after the acura dealership wanted 155 dollars to replace my torn cover that i found out was vinyl not real leather. This leather cover is extremely good quality and much thicker then the vinyl acura material. I saved myself a ton of money and I must say it looks better then the original vinyl cover. I had an upholsterer do the repair as I am not car handy and they only charged me 10 dollars to do the job. I would recommend this product to anyone going through this very issue. It was a 100% awesome purchase...thank you!!!

Much improved over the Acura version. This is a nice leather where the one Acura installed was a simple cheap vinyl. Some instructions on how to install it would have been helpful though.

I had the center console armrest installed by a local upholsterer who completed the process from start to finish in less than 30".He did it for a reasonable price.The product seems to be of good quality and my expectation is that it will be durable and offer lasting positive results for my vehicle for the life of the vehicle.or beyond..
