So far I have been using Schwarzkopf live hair colour for 7 years now and never been let down. It perfectly colours grey hair and one box is just enough for my long hair.Normally I get 089 shade which gives a nice dark brown colour, it doesn't dry my hair as some other supermarket brand hair dyes that I used in the past.Delivery was fast, box was not damaged and I was really happy to purchase a box of 3 which was cheaper than buying a single packet.

I used this product to lighten my hair in order to dye it a vivid purple.My starting colour was a medium brown (as shown in picture 1). I did 2 different bleaching sessions (1 week apart) and I used 2 boxes of lightener per session. I needed to use 2 boxes due to the length of my hair, there was a little left over so if your hair is longer than mine, then 2 should still suffice. If you have shorter hair than mine, you could get away with only using 1 box.Picture 2 is the colour of my hair after the first session, picture 3 is the colour after the second session.The application process was really easy and simple, the steps were explicit and everything was labeled clearly. The bleach isn't messy and applies easily. I put a plastic shower cap over my hair to help it process, but be warned your hair/head will heat up during the bleaching process and it does feel hot to the touch. My only, minor criticisms of the lightener is that it is very strong to the point that my eyes watered a bit when I got it too close. Apart from that I absolutely adored this lightener and the process. Obviously, the hair does come out dry, but this lightener includes a purple toner to help neutralize any brassy tones and a conditioner to help repair the hair.I loved the blonde colour that resulted from the first bleaching session and the only reason that I did a second one was because I wanted the whitest base possible for applying my purple dye over. If I was staying blonde then I would have happily stopped after the first lightening process. My only word of caution should be to remember to use an old towel that you don't really care about, my trusty 'dye-towel' was transformed from a light blue to an almost white due to using it to towel dry my hair between conditioner applications. But this could probably have been avoided if I had spent longer rinsing my hair each time.I highly recommend this lightener and it is now my favourite of all hair lightening products that I have ever used. The value for money is amazing and the results are exactly what I was looking for. This is now going to be my default lightener for future.

I have tried so many auburns/reds but didn’t like any of them they were always just too red (unnatural red colours)I’ve had my hair light ash blonde for a while but got bored and wanted to go dark (ish) but I am pale and dark hair doesn’t suit me though it’s my natural colour!Last time I visited my salon my hairdresser went with a 4/5 which was so dark I cried when I got home I hated it it washed me out and cost a fortune for a horrid colour that I didn’t ask forSo having tried at home light brown, medium brown and reds I removed all colour and stuck a light brown on the blonde base then used this over it, the colour is perfect just a hint of brown and lots of auburn it looks quite natural and I’m happy!Super easy to use, I hate the gloves they’re cheap and awful, the smell of dye lingers too which is a downside as it smells really strong.Will never colour at the salon again now I have he perfect auburn and know my best blondes too, shame I can’t take my head off to chop my own hair.Value for money and lovely colour, hair feels soft too which is a bonus after all the colour removing and lightening processes over the years my hair is usually brittle and dry but the hair mask worked well
