Great all-round mini circular saw.
I bought this for a specific job where I was sawing upside down in a cramped location. A 150mm circular saw, I do own but it has become increasingly an unwieldy choice, as my jobs move towards lighter-grade work eg laminate flooring etc. In fact, apart from my huge fence job some time ago, where 4” posts were a staple task, most of my DIY work is probably less than 1” thick. Even if not, a lighter weight smaller saw, still works because obviously you just cut from both sides, ergo a 1” cut depth will do all those 38mm etc CLS wood planks from DIY stores. If you only get one single saw therefore, I’d make it this one. There are only two negatives, and they don’t detract from my verdict. One, there’s no laser guide. This means nothing to me, but if you can get one, fine, it definitely makes FAST cutting of a lot of laminate say, more accurate. I did look for a spare to fit, if I could strap the thing on to this saw somehow, and ended up at an online store which did do one quite cheap, but you have to rig it yourself. I suspect hot melt glue or epoxy might be used, and that would be perfectly serviceable. Anyway, I didn’t bother. Second negative, again it’s a qualified one, is there’s no angled cuts possible using the saw plate. IE when I want to drive along a line, but have a chamfer angle or something weird, I cannot adjust to get a tilt on the blade ‘sideways’. Why is this not really a big thing…because the smaller the saw blade diameter, the tinier the depth you can actually cut at an angle. Even my bigger 150mm circular saw, ends up maxing out at maybe a 2” depth of wood, to be cut at 45 degrees say. In short, the mechanism and the plate of the saw, take up maybe a third of the saw depth you might expect to have. Therefore, we could conclude that by the very fact you decide to buy a mini saw, you are not cutting much depth at an angle. I never cut a laminate board at an angle anyway, but a special use case might have you rate this as more important. But those are the only two negatives - I eschew battery power for some things like sawing, because there’s a low power limit quite often set by that decision - I suspect, they even might make the motors lighter and less powerful, to make them lighter, because they know you’ve got to hold not only the weight of the motor, but also the battery weight. So I actively avoid battery powered vacuum cleaners, even little ones for cars, because you have to pay a lot to get a good one and mains power usually means more power. In other words, this mini circular saw, gets the basics right, does them really well. It’s lack of bulk is also assisted by not having a laser sightline, and not having a saw plate that you have an angling mechanism on. There’s one single solitary ‘upgrade’ I did ! There’s a handy width gauge comes with it, that ‘T’ shaped thing you slide in at right angles into the base saw plate, and tighten with a small thumbscrew. On this saw, when you are NOT using the ‘T’ guide, if the thumbscrew is tightened right in, as often is the case so you don’t lose it, the screw protrudes a millimetre out into the face of the saw plate, ie if you saw like this, the base plate is catching and rocking on the surface you are sawing. I solved this simply by adding a tiny washer under the thumbscrew. See pic. But you could easily cut a bit of plastic into a washer shape, and it’d do just as well, to limit the protrusion of the screw from happening. 3 milk carton ‘washers’ would do it I reckon. IT’s great value. Buy leather gloves while you are at it. Decent gloves, jam the tool you are using, if something goes wrong, this is the general principle of how they work! Typically, the gloves get grabbed and drawn into the mechanism/blade, and stop the device dead, instead of your fingers. So wear decent but malleable gloves, you got to feel something through them. It is also quite directional with its sawdust, relatively good, not billowing it absolutely everywhere. a vacuum nozzle stuck on the end of the supplied tube may be possible in some circumstances, even. I just put a sheet under where I was working. The really good applications are probably surgically cutting floorboards to prep for lifting them (I hate to watch tradesmen or others, stick a crowbar under their edges and splinter and snap to all hell), and as mentioned laminate flooring etc. As with all power tools, a set of earplugs is a good idea. Never pick these up from the ground, either have a little bag and wash them later, or throw them, an ear infection isn’t worth it. That’s it. I don’t get paid or pushed to do a review, I just do it if the product has a decent use and does it well or of course, really badly. Take care all.

Impressive Mini Circular Saw - A Game Changer for DIY Enthusiasts
I recently had the opportunity to try out the HYCHIKA Mini Circular Saw, and I must say it's been a game-changer for my DIY projects. This compact tool, with its three saw blades and scale rule, has made my woodworking tasks a breeze. The first thing that caught my attention was its design. The Mini Circular Saw is lightweight and easy to handle, making it a great choice for beginners and experienced craftsmen alike. Its ergonomic grip and efficient design ensured that I could work comfortably for extended periods without fatigue. What truly sets this tool apart is the variety of saw blades it comes with. Having three different blades at my disposal (a diamond blade, 24T TCT blade, and a 44T HSS blade) allowed me to tackle various materials with ease. Whether I was cutting through wood, plastic, or even tiles, this saw handled the task effortlessly, producing clean and precise cuts every time. The addition of the scale rule on the Mini Circular Saw was a bonus for me. It ensured that my measurements and cuts were accurate, saving me time and effort in the long run. The tool's depth adjustment feature also made it simple to set the exact cutting depth I needed for my specific projects. Safety is a top concern, and I appreciated the thoughtful safety features on this saw, such as the double protection switch and the transparent blade guard. It made me feel confident and secure during operation.

Great Mini Circular Saw, definitely a must
Excellent product, helped me a lot with the projects I just done over the past couple of days. I used the saw to cut and lay down some wooden floorboards and laminate flooring. I also used the saw to cut through pvc fascia and soffit boards. Was really easy and sturdy to use. Great saw at a great price

Mini Circular Saw Its really handy!
Wow arrived next day, and a fantastic tool, used to cut both 9mm and 18mm OSB board, comes with three discs (One is for tiles) which is useful as tiling is next. As the blade is small it is very accurate and guide is not needed for rough work like 1st fix. A great tool to have in my collection and at a very good price.

Excellent Purchase!
Really pleased with this mini saw. Cuts well, easy to use and the laser is designed to assist with accurate cutting which it does well. It cuts through wood with ease and providing clean results. I was looking for a mini circular saw as my normal size circular saw is a bit too much of hefty for some projects as in heavy and a little awkward to move around. For the price it is brilliant, easy to adjust light with enough power to do the job. Comes with other blades too. If there is anything I would change with this it would be the safety button on the left side of the saw. It does exactly what I want without more expensive options. Also worth noting the weight, it's not at all hefty, it a pretty light weight mini circular saw, should be perfectly easy to use for most people.
