Harken Hoister 7806B 4 Point Hoister System

The mechanism is very smooth and easy to operate. Installation is dependent upon what you are lifting, where are you installing it, and what interferences do you have to consider. We managed to work through the steps and store 2 kayaks above our garage door track. The real benefit of the Harken Hoister is how little space is wasted above the items you are storing.

We have put two of these in our garage for our two jeeps. The installation requires finding studs in the ceiling and installing some support boards. But nothing too complex. The tricky part is getting the knots tied to the right length. All that said, once installed it is a great way to remove, store and put back on a two or four door jeep hard top.

Set this up in an agricultural barn to store an 8' truck cap. Used the included hardware to mount on boards above rafter cross-members. The quick-connect straps work just fine for the lift, however I add some modest lifting straps to secure the cap after its' lifted off the truck for a more secure hold while suspended for storage. Re-install went very smoothly on the truck in under 15 minutes, including securing the 6 cap clamps. Good product, highly recommended!

Works great to support 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited hardtop. Please note: you will most likely need to do some heavy modification to your ceiling in the form of mounting 2x6s across multiple studs spaced accordingly. The instructions reference kayaks, but I recommend visiting the Harken site and downloading the Jeep kit installation instructions. Not much different, but diagrams match the desired outcome.

Use it on a hardtop for my 2017 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. Pulls it up with ease. Took about 2 hours to install but we new what we were doing.
