The Meaning of the Holy Qur'an in Today's English: Volume 1

Mr. Emerick does a fantastic job of adding a balanced contemporary understanding of Islam's holy text. What surprised me was his footnotes that often contained references from the Torah and the Bible (along with their numerical references for further study and cross checking), in addition to what Islamic commentators have stated about a particular verse - noting if the commentator is from the classical period, a more recent period, if they hold a majority view, or a dissenting view. This is an incredibly beneficial and enlightening commentary for all those seeking a more holistic understanding of the Quran.

Put in everyday language makes understanding what you are reading such a pleasure. Emerick has done a great job!

I am not returning the book. But I was not sure where to write. I ordered volume 3 and liked it. I decided to buy the whole set for my sister. Unfortunately, Volume 1 and 2 were damamged ( the cover). My guess is someone returned it to you and it was then passed on to me.Your return method does not cover the whole postage cost and that is why I am reluctant to sent the books back. However, it is disappointing as I wanted something completely new.
