Big shiny Beast of a machine!!
Oooo big and shiny….By far the best saw I’ve used to date and as a wood butcher of far too many years I have used many different mitre saws.(never lost a limb thus far, although came close to a digit flying skyward due to a faulty guard once🥴)Now as a DeWalt nerd I was very impressed and lucky to use a few top quality Makita toys in my time and as a result when making a choice between the two I found the reviews for Makita were rated top banana.I love flex volt as they are amazing. So I required a bigger monster of a machine as my corded DeWalt is still alive and well but not up to the crazy tasks that lay ahead being on the small side. Also the need for a cordless wood dissecting instrument with the omfff of a corded one was also on my agenda for ease of use and after much searching and brainwork research this saw came up trumps. It is huge, it is a beast of a machine and be aware of its weight. When first lifted this ginormous contraption I was made aware that I need to get fitter and will definitely need a rolling stand to lug it from here to there, I recommend the tough built ts600 for this exact role as I believe the Makita(unless you wish to part with some big coinage) are not up to coping with it’s weight.I digressThis is by far the best cordless 305mm mitre saw I have come across and for anyone looking for something that can not only handle large cuts but also be precise then this is the one I would happily recommend.A very sexy machine that is easy to use and powerful enough to conquer the jobs that may be in your way.I do recommend getting two 18volt 6amp batteries and a double charger for extended usage even though I’ve already cut over 100 cuts and still have two bars on my 5 amp batteries since getting this beastie two days ago.Get it, you’ll have fun and you won’t be disappointed plus you’ll make your mates jealous 👍🏻

Does big cuts cordless , heavy though
What a thing super smooth fantastic but heavy but fantastic but yeah heavy I wouldn't have brought it to load in a van day after day. My setup in trailer means I just open up and it's there. But I have seen other chippies load unload for the day lasts long time on 6ah battery laser guide double bevel. It's a monster of cutters

Best toy I've had since I hit puberty
Best toy I've had since I hit puberty. Cut through a wet sleeper like is was soft butter, no detectable feel or sound of anything being cut. I'm a builder and have a good mix of the top three brands and in this instance the Makita has them beat.

Professional saw for the hobbyist.
This is a professional saw probably the best I've owned, having a 12inch blade and deep throat is more than capable for all job's, super smooth cutting with planned finish, this machine is big and weighs 30 kg.
