Some reviews state that theirs stopped working over time, however mine is still holding up very well & my plants are growing at a much faster & fuller rate :) There is no timer. I was fully aware that there was no timer when I purchased it. I only mention this because some reviews stated that they thought there was a timer, however, I didn't see anywhere that said it did. I don't mind it - I turn it on when I wake up & turn it off around the time I get ready for bed. I also rarely travel for any longer than a weekend. So this not having a timer does not bother me & doesn't take away from the quality.I like this light in particular since the bulbs could twist off and be switched with new ones (in case they stopped working) especially because some other lights on Amazon have it where the bulbs cannot be switched out & you'd have to buy a whole new entire light. FYI - haven't had to buy new bulbs bc the lights are still working very well.ONLY THING- which is my fault- I tried adjusting the lights closer to the base of the bulb but accidentally snapped it off, it still works though! The wires are still all intact, just used some tape to keep it together.SO just keep that in mind when adjusting the lights: to be careful!____EDIT: These were delivered to me on December 14th. I used these 16 hours a day, every day since then. Today is April 15th & the bulbs just died today. For me, I feel that I got a very long & good use out of them. :)

WOW! What a nice grow light. It's perfect for a desk or for use as a light for a small area starting seeds and keeping an area of plants growing where there's no sun. The light casing gets a little hot but the lights do not. Great buy! I would not hesitate to purchase another.

The Neillo 100W Plant Light seemed very useful from the product images, but in my experience I had a very hard time getting it to work even with lettuce - one of the easiest plants to grow - no matter how close I placed the lights to them.The clip for the light stand is rather rough and ended up gouging out a line in my table, while the lights themselves generate a lot more heat that I would have expected. This might work fine for something like cacti or succulents, which can survive with less light, but I wouldn't recommend it for any type of vegetable or leafy green.
