Bought this book because of my interest in business restructuring and got what i wanted, this book contains a good and detailed template for restructuring companies, after reading i could understand the basics where to check for problems and how to do that the right way, and how to implement changes, for me as a student it was maybe a little bit too complicated because i am not used to work in huge companies and some of the processes was not clear to me, but i could understand most of it anyway, as it is said on the cover, the book is for senior managers and vice presidents and they get what they deserve.

For those who want to learn how to implement a restructure inside your company or to provide this service. The author illustrates all required steps to achieve the results. It has been already a long time that I don't read anything similar in the administration area. Investment really worths!

A very useful and comprehensive guidebook for business restructuring. The book walks through one of the most important and hardest restructuring processes which is "Moving from Unconscious Incompetence to Conscious Incompetence" in the organization. Zilka shows step by step how to do this using i.e. benchmarking (pointing out the specific sources). Further you can find some key success factors for the framework execution which are based on SixSigma philosophy and supported by BPI and BPO. The author also gives interesting insights and a well structured framework for human factor in whole restructuring process. I'm a newly college graduate and wanted to be able to get a thorough understanding of how a business runs efficiently, while taking some time off to build my work experience before getting my MBA. My professor recommended Carla Zilka's book and I have to say that it is an amazing way to follow how a business works from the inside. I've learned more from following Zilka's charts and analysis/assessments than in my four years of business related classes. I highly recommend it as it is a must read for any college grad preparing for the real business world.

This is a refreshing action template that explains restructuring in a whole different way than I have seen in academia while pursuing my BBA and MBA. Finally, someone has provided real world examples that are interesting and truly paint a full picture of how the concepts of restructuring are utilized. Everyone who is interested in the efficiencies of business processes and restructuring, from students to CEO's, should read this book.

This book provides great insight into the restructuring process. It contains all the basic information that is required and is an excellent read. I work in organisational design/change management for a global investment bank and find the book a great resource. I also have the pleasure of having had the author, Carla Zilka, work with me on one of our organisational change/restructuring programmes. She lives and breathes the philosophy contained in this book and it works.
