Great Shoe but Strap Broke - Issue Resolved Quickly
Purchased two pair of these Gavin Elite Road Cycling Shoes (38 & 43) for use with our Peloton. This is a very comfortable shoe which fits true to size. The adjustable (ratchet) strap is a little clunky to use but works well to tighten down the adjustment around the ankle. However, with just over one week of daily use, the strap broke while being loosened with the push-release button, the plastic strap literally breaks off in a straight line. We contacted the seller via Amazon - as we learned this is a very common issue with this shoe based on the reviews (we found 24 occurrences of "strap broke" at the time of this posting). The seller very kindly and quickly responded and sent a replacement pair free of charge. We are hopeful we can continue to use these affordable, otherwise well-built shoes for a long time.

Work well and good customer service
When I first received these, there was a part missing in the bottom for me to attach the cleats I needed. I contacted customer service, but since it was a Saturday, I didn't expect a response right away. I got an answer right away! They mailed out the missing piece. I was expecting a new show, but makes sense that they wouldn't. I got the piece and I couldn't figure out how to get it in. I had to contact customer service again who provided more information/directions on how to install the piece. I was able to use the shoes as expected and they seemed to work well.It would have been nice if there had been any instructions in with the replacement piece. It was a tiny piece sent in an enormous plastic shipping bag with nothing else in it.

Spin shoes
Great inexpensive spin shoe. Fits true to size. Clips went on easy.

Horrible, felt like Chinese foot binding or cycling in wooden clogs
These shoes are so narrow and stiff. I know cycling shoes are supposed to be stiff but the top/sides of the shoes have no flexibility whatsoever. Your dogs will be screaming. A 30-minute peloton ride was unbearable and then I would be in pain for the rest of the day. Just get a better pair. I wasted my money on these and then had to buy a nicer pair anyway because I didn't want disfigured feet for the rest of my life.

Awesome Road Bike Shoes
I went to several of the online bike stores and could no believe the price of shoes to ride your bike with clip-less pedals, then I ran across The Gavin Elite shoes. At first I was wondering if they would be worth it to try out but now that I have them and have tried them out the are great. The fit for the size I purchased 45 or 11.5 men's is dead on for the shoes size. When you strap in the fit is very comfortable and secure. So I clipped into the Shimano R 540 pedals and got on the indoor trainer and road for 45 minutes with no notice of soreness about the foot. The only thing I wish I had done was to purchase some riding socks, the one thing that I felt was the rib in the sock that I was wearing on my toes and that they didn't breath very well inside the house. Now if I were outside with air movement it might of been different.I would definitely recommend these to my friends. Now if you are into racing and going for weight then you may want to look at the carbon shoes that are well up there in the price range.Update: I've had these shoes now for 4 year and over 1500 miles on them & just replaced the ratchet buckle for $7.00 I will difinately look at these shoes when I finally wear them out.

Sweet shoes!
Great shoe! They look awesome. The color on mine was black, not a maroon color like in the picture - which I was happy that it wasn't. I ordered a size 46. I usually wear a size 11.5 or 12 men's depending on the shoe, and I think my feet are normal in width if not SLIGHTLY narrow. Size 46 is too big, but I kept them anyway and I just put insoles in the shoe and tighten them up all the way and it works just fine for me. They took like a week or so to get to me from Florida, and I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending them back and waiting as I needed them ASAP.I haven't had any problems with the buckle breaking like other people said. However, I noticed that if buckled all the way down, the release mechanism gets caught on the shoe and won't release - making it extremely difficult, but not impossible, to undo. Easy fix, just make sure to stop one or two notches before the end. Plus, unless the shoe is too big for you, you probably won't have that problem.I did have to get longer screws than came with my cleats. I think it's just the way these shoes are made. Just went to the hardware store and picked some up for a buck or two.One other thing to mention, is that I think they scuff relatively easily. After wearing them once or twice I noticed the material on the toe of the shoe had been scuffed off. I don't remember scraping them on anything, so that's what makes me think they scuff easily. Not an issue in my opinion though, just gotta be a little more careful with them.I would definitely recommend these to a friend. You can't beat the price. If you're looking at these, the chances are you aren't one of those cyclists that cares about every ounce and gram on their bike, but rather you just want something more efficient than strap pedals, something inexpensive yet durable, and something that looks nice. Boom. Done.

Good for the price
They are nice, light and comfortable, but for me wasn't easy to install the cleats unless I bought the wrong ones which are Shimano, looks like the bolts are very small, you will not be able to walk around with these shoes like others brands like Shimano, I know the purpose of the shoes is to ride your bicycle not to walk however sometimes you need to walk short distances and is hard to do with this shoes.

Good entry level road shoe
Works well so far with 50km on them. The shoe is better suited to those with a flatter foot profile. I have higher arches so the last strap is a bit tight and some movement around the heel. Otherwise a good shoe for the price and will become better fitting after worn in more. My delta plates fitted well with peddles.
