HunterSea Air Indoor / Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Pull Chain Control, 52", White

I love this white outdoor ceiling fan. I purchased two fans to replace two older Hunter fans. They are both working beaitifully and without any wobble. In my opinion, this model of Hunter fan is as silent as ceiling fans get. And, they are designed for outdoor, uncovered areas. I installed both of the fans myself. The instructions are easy to follow. Just make sure to use the correct plastic bag of parts at each stage of the installation process, per the installation instructions. Like the instructions state, one must supply the small screws to secure tha fan’s base to the electrical junction box (j-box). The j-box screw are not supplied, but two long wood screws are provided in case structural wood is available to secure the fan to. I am disappointed that I don’t find a good looking, low profile, outdoor rated light that will work with this ceiling fan. I did see an inexpensive looking plastic outdoor rated light offered by Hunter, but I don’t think it matches the beauty of the fan.

I bought nine of these fans from Amazon in November and December of 2018. All of them use plastic or rubber grommets as support for the blades screws, 3 per blade, 15 per fan. All of them have kind of melted and the blades are loose. With time this may be a safety hazard. This is a defect which should be corrected with appropriate hard grommets or different screws. I wrote to Hunter back in July asking them to provide an adequate solution for the 135 grommets that I need to replace. Their reply: "I am sorry the parts have a 1-year warranty and i am not able to send parts and they currently are out of stock on our website." I insisted and they answered: "...grommets currently out of stock you will get an email for when they come into stock." Never got the email or the grommets and they will melt again anyway so I need to find a solution on my own. In the meantime I have to keep tightening the screws to make sure a blade does not fly away. DON'T BUY THIS FAN.

Very pretty. If you read instructions and identify the marks on the bags of parts (would be easier if they used numbers rather than symbols) installation was easy. It does take 2 people to do installation. Wet rated was a big factor in purchase. Our prior non-hunter fans were damp rated and on our porch, rusted.

Nothing to dislike. We have three hunter fans in the house and they are reliable. We bought another one is all weather fan for our pergola. Easy to installed and wired up with remote we had to have electrical inspection because of city ordinance for pergola. Pass electrical inspection No problem Everything is great! Now I can have my beer under the fan. Lol

Very nice outdoor ceiling fan. I wish that it came with built in remote. I did find a hunter universal remote that may work we are just waiting on the patio roof installer to come out and do his thing with it. I have the equivalent indoor fan in my family room And have received many compliments.

It is only a month since we installed but its operation has been flawless. Good air movement and silent. The location where it is installed is on an open terrace. We already had to replace two previous fans that did not resist the winds at the location. We will see how this one behaves with time.

We live three blocks off the Atlantic Ocean. Previous outdoor fans had become rusted wrecks after 4 years, even though they were installed under a 3 foot overhang and never touched by rain or sea spray.The Hunter fans were highly recommended by our electrician and neighbors as being able to stand up to our conditions. Time will tell. For now I can agree they work and look great.
