The Ice Road Truckers return to Alaska, hauling their biggest loads ever across the most dangerous terrain they've faced. But this year, trucking critically needed cargo north to the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay is just the beginning. In season four, the drivers will tackle frozen rivers and swamps out beyond the Dalton Highway, hauling supplies to some of the most remote towns of the great white north. Reigning king, Jack Jesse, looks to defend his title, and Lisa Kelly, one of the only woman truckers on the haul road, fights to prove herself in the male-dominated profession. Rookie Ray Veilleux, who recently lost his business in the lower 48, has come north to run the road and keep his struggling family afloat. And in a decades-long rivalry, veteran drivers Hugh Rowland and Alex Debogorski are back racing neck and neck. The stakes are high as the dash for cash continues.

In love with this show
My favorite season thus far! Love all the characters and Lisa is proving a formidable comrade. The situations are challenging and dangerous but these guys really are great truckers. I always feel that I am not only getting good entertainment but learning something as well...!

Season 4 - True Characters of Ice Road Truckers
In Season 4 of Ice Road Truckers the true character of each driver shows through more than any other season.Alex- shows true compassion and puts helping others in front of his dash for the cash.Hugh- barrels through, load count means everything at the expense of becoming a careless driver.Jack Jesse-- steady as can be. Safe and sure driver. Willing to teach/advise drivers who have less experience.Lisa- trying to drive in an occupation dominated by men. What stands out? Her determination. New experiences for her in this season and she did well.Ray - the rookie driver this year. His goal? To work hard and steady to support his family - Goal achieved.Last of all Greg- Immature Chauvinist. Plays games with other truckers on a dangerous road, then pouts like a small child. Grow up!

Ice Road Truckers Vol. 4
My husband and I watched the whole season, but he likes the series. My daughter gave him the first three as Christmas presents and we just added the fourth when Im saw it was avaiable. If you have not watch the show, I recommend it. Just don't want to do there job. More power to them.

Great series and well documented
Have you got the nerve to do what these guys and dolls do? I wouldn't do it...Great series and well documented. We follow the men and women who deliver articulated lorry loads across miles of frozen rivers and seas during the winter months. It scary what they do and they take it in their stride to keep on trucking.

More from the Ice Roads
The story continues with Alex, Hugh, Lisa and co. More beautiful scenery and wonderful characters. My only criticism is the constant "bigging up" of any problems that occour. If they concentrated more on the characters involved the series would be the better for it in my opinion.
