Great looks. Amazing night light.
Simply beautiful. The trellis design is amazing and the color is very smart. The light activates automatically based on ambient low light. The lumens is also very adequate for a medium sized area. Not too bright and not too dim. Perfect for keeping it on at night and doesn't bother your sleep at all. Another cool part is how you can use it to cover up an entire outlet for unused sockets. Loving it.

Super bright WHITE light, cool to touch, reliable, safe to use
If you want a super-bright nightlight, THIS IS IT! I imagine it's not for everyone though. Look at ALL the pictures very carefully. The light that these babies emit is no joke. Despite the pictures that depict the beautiful amber-looking cover, rest assured that it only looks like that when the light is off.PROS:1. The light sensor is very very responsive. When there is ambient light in the area, the nightlight stays off. No flickering. A soon as there is darkness, these nightlights kick in instantly. Super reliable.2. VERY bright in a dark room. When my elderly mother or other relatives come to visit, I can put this in the guestroom or hallway or bathroom and know that there will be no disorientation or falls due to darkness in unfamiliar areas.3. Both prongs on plug are small. Not one with a wider end. So depending on your outlet configuration, you can switch it around.4. The light fixture itself is pretty wide. Approximately 3" X 4.5". But it does NOT block the second receptacle on the outlet.5. LED. Stays nice and cool to the touch. My days of buying incandescent night light bulbs that burn so hot that they're a total fire hazard and melt the covers are so over. From a safety point of view, LED is the way to go.CONS:1. VERY bright in a dark room. So much so that it can be blinding. This is counter productive, as one wants a nightlight in a dark room. You actually have to look away from it, shield your eyes so it doesn't blind you, thereby causing disorientation. (Yes, it's that bright.) So facing this on your way to tinkle during the night could be somewhat traumatic. Best to put in an outlet lower to the ground so you don't get blinded. I would also definitely NOT recommend putting it on a bathroom outlet built into a mirror, as my master bath has. Far too harsh; like going into a doctor's office. Unfortunately, in our master bath, that's where the only outlets are, so I can't use this in there. I tried it one night and on my next trip into the bathroom during the night I found that my hubby had piled a barrage of shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles, and even the waste basket on the counter, AROUND and BLOCKING the nightlight in a vain attempt to kill the glare. 😂😂😂 Hubby has a way of making his point, I tell ya.2. When it's illuminated, all notions inspired by the amber cutout covering VANISH. It's a very harsh white light, emitted through said amber cutouts at the front, as well as a severe white glow that filters from behind. I have vibrant colored rooms, so it illuminates whatever color I have in the room I'm using this light in, which is just okay, I guess. I would imagine though, that if you have walls in light colors, this baby would literally reflect and light up the whole room, probably more than what one would want from a nightlight. I've found it a struggle to find LED nightlight bulbs in warm colors, so I'm impatiently awaiting more options. Hopefully G.E. will hear my prayers real soon.So this is an excellent product. Just look carefully at ALL pics and pay special attention to the whiteness and brightness of the light to make sure it will suit your needs. I'm satisfied with these nightlights. Would I buy more of the same? Probably not. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is how jarring it is as a nightlight. Would I buy more if they came out with a warmer colored bulb? Absolutely. Probably put one in every room. Hope you're listening G.E. 🙏🙏🙏

Disappointed
The front of the light is great, very pretty...BUT there is no cover over the back part, so light streams around from all sides. Almost as much light comes from the sides as from the front. Looks stupid - like it's an unfinished nightlight - which imo it is. Will not buy more. I'll use it behind furniture, where the extra glow won't look strange. If it had an opaque backing piece, I would give it 5 stars.

AWESOME NIGHT LIGHT - the bronze color looks great, the LEDs are efficient & safe, the design is solid, & output + color perfect
This is a REALLY NICE night light and it is worth the price premium over a basic model because this is a really awesome night light. I was so happy with the look, the build quality, the amount of light it put out & the color temperature of that light, and the extremely energy-efficient design that I purchased a second CoverLite...and I am thinking about a third!Measuring about 4.5 inches tall, 3 inches wide, and 1.4 inches deep, this mid-sized LED night light has a polished & brushed bronze-color finish, which gives it the look of a hand-polished finish (note that GE also has a hand rubbed bronze finish.) You can mount it so that it only covers one electrical outlet and does not obstruct the other, or it can cover both outlets, which gives you usage flexibility. It uses a low-output LED and the amount of energy it uses compared to a traditional incandescent night light is substantially less...an when I say substantially, I mean that the amount of energy this thing uses is almost negligible! Using an automatic light sensor, this comes on when it's dark and turns off when it is bright. Also, by being an LED, you will not have to spend money on replacement bulbs every 1,000 hours or so...the service life of this LED could easily be 100,000 hours + given LEDs have gotten super reliable, and the build-quality of this entire unit is made to last. This maximum energy efficiency and no need to replace the bulb or unit means the 10 bucks on this light will likely save you money in the long run. Unlike the compact fluorescents, this LED emits a SOFT-yet-WARM light...it does not have an office building fluorescent bulb vibe to it, but rather a very warm, friendly color that matches a home setting, and this color temp is literally spot-on for something that will run dimly at night. You could almost call it a mood light. In terms of brightness, the light output is almost PERFECT. It is enough so that you can see your way around in a dark room without needing to turn on a bright light, but dim enough that it is not distracting from sleeping. Compared to my Sun GE CoverLite, this model is not quite as bright. This nightlight, like other GE CoverLites, is UL certified...so you do not have to worry about them burning down your house while you are away on vacation (a friend of mine who is a firefighter has told me that it isn't completely unheard of for very poorly made generic devices like those 30 cent night lights to occasionally cause some major issues.) Additionally, this light does NOT get hot enough to burn children or pets...which my rabbit, Lilly, greatly appreciates.Surprisingly, I get asked about my GE CoverLites all of the time. People notice them almost immediately and they absolutely love them. A lot of people have seen them and then purchased them for themselves. And I must admit they really are handsome night lights. They really favor the warmth of a home-setting mood light rather than a harsher light, and it looks so much better than a plain night light. The bronze color is just plain cool looking and it matches most room decors quite well.So between the efficiency & longevity of a LED, the mechanical soundness & safety of the design, and the fact that these just look plain cool, I highly recommend this and other GE CoverLites. Indeed they are on the more expensive side of night lights, but they're absolutely worth it.

Beautiful - good value!
These are super tasteful and give off a nice amount of light! Anyone complaining about them being cheap or flimsy... well, they are $6 each so I'm not sure what people are expecting. Not made to be moved multiple times. Plug them in and leave them be. I'll be buying more for the basement too!

Great little night lights
Am pleased with these little decorative night lights. Give off good light. Quality is fine given the price. Don't agree with negative comments. They are not so flimsy. I recommend!

Very Nice
My least favourite of the metallic-looking nightlights, though pretty and bright., though obviously not as well made as the more expensive among Amazon's assortment. Have read a few negative comments about these - they are not meant to be pulled out and battered about, for fun. Find a place for them and leave them alone there - they will then serve you well.

Good light, but brighter than expected.
My youngest is scared of the dark, so these make the room bright enough to keep them from feeling the room as soon as the main light goes out, but aren't so bright that they can't sleep. For most people, these will be too bright to use as a night light. They provide a solid amount of light, and the sensor trips as soon as the ambient light dips. I appreciate that it's a yellowish light, not a blue or white light.

Lighting
This product is perfect for what we need it for. I have one at the bottom of the basement stairs and the second in the bathroom off the family room. These lights give of a bright yet warm glow. I don’t need to use the bathroom light as the plug-in does the job. Also, it’s an attractive looking plug in.
