KomalC 24 Inch Leather Duffel Bags for Men and Women Travel Overnight Weekend...

Like many others I was looking for a classic leather duffel to replace my nylon and canvas bags that I have been travelling with for years. I started my search hoping to find something affordable and functional for weekend travel and perhaps even a week's excursion. I found a lot of choices on the market, too many looked too serious for what I wanted and too big....I wanted the bag that Indiana Jones would choose before heading out to find the Holy Grail. KomalC has the answers. So much so that I bought the 20" bag for short adventures and the 24" bag when I need to pack a few more items and would like a few less folds in my clothes. I spent hours taking measurements and calculating whether they would be too big or too small. Frankly everyone's needs are different but the 20" bag easily packs an extra pair of shoes, toiletries, pants, shorts, shirts and underwear for two to three days. The 24" bag is much more spacious and allows for 1.5x to 2x more packing space. Both bags are so nice that I enjoy just walking past them and looking at them or picking them up to feel the soft supple leather. The pictures on the website accurately depict what you get...natural leather with a matte finish that looks like its seen a few trips already, but sophisticated and stylish. They are both really nice pieces of high quality that easily justify the already reasonable prices. I only wish I had reason to buy more...and given time I am certain I will.

I purchased this bag as a retirement gift for a co-worker. I thought I ordered the regular bag but got the gym style instead. I’m not really sure if that was on my end but it was quickly corrected. Did a replacement order and got the correct bag the same day I put the return in the mail. FAST DELIVERY!!!! Now about the bags since I’ve seen two of the three styles. OMG!!! THEY ARE AWESOME!!! It really depends on your preference but you can’t go wrong. My co-worker needs more room for clothing vs a shoe compartment. I myself loved the gym style bag. They have many different little compartments in both bags. These bags look and feel durable and I know will last a long time. In each bag there is a note from the craftsman, it tells you how to care for the bag and a little about the business. They are REAL leather and the smell (Which I personally love) will prove that. They are crafted beautifully! I mean, they are gorgeous bags!! I know you’re saying it’s just a bag but order one and see if you don’t sit there and admire it!! Once the world gets back to running as normal and my job picks back up this is definitely on my list to buy for myself.

I was searching for the perfect long-weekend travel bag, you know, something far beyond the typical canvas or nylon duffel the young kids use at the gym. I wanted sophistication. An old-money aesthetic. Premium leather with that beautifully worn-in, vintage character. But it also had to be practical: spacious, well-constructed, with high-quality stitching and real metal zippers. Well, this bag delivers on every front. The interior is incredibly roomy. Honestly, I could pack close to two weeks’ worth of outfits, including boots and shoes, without feeling cramped. It strikes that rare balance between form and function. And then there’s the style, wow. It has that timeless, understated elegance, the kind of bag a true gentleman carries without needing to say a word. I absolutely love it!

I like the bag. Well made and looks durable. It has a hard, rugged feel and it is very spacious. On the cons side, the zipper could operate a bit smoother. I am not too sure I would ever utilize the phone or the pencil holders inside the bag - nowadays who keeps notes with a pen/pencil?! Also, if I was about to carry a pen/pencil, it would probably be in a messenger bag, briefcase or backpack. Not in a duffle bag. Same with cell phone. I would also preferred a thick, nylon strap compared to the thin leather one that is there. For that size of a bag, if I overload it, the thin strap won't be as comfortable as a thicker leather or nylon version. Overall good quality for the money. Sometimes, it's worth paying an extra $100 or so for a branded bag to get the little extra touch/details that may be important to you.

I bought this bag for a short upcoming flight and I am very pleased with it so far. Very good looking bag, well made, and designed properly. I originally purchased this bag, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RM15V41/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, but returned it because the side pocket is a buckle, which takes time to open, and the top zipper only goes across the top making the opening small. It did have a shoe section, which is nice, but the shoe section is small. This bag, however, has a top zipper that goes halfway down each side allowing the bag to open wider for easier access loading and unloading. The leather is nicer too, soft and pretty, and came in a box (as opposed to shrink wrapped) so the bag doesn't get all deformed during shipment. The small zippered sections are easy to open and the interior has nice design touches like leather accents.

I bought this one and a 20 inch AARON LEATHER GOODS VENDIMIA ESTILO bag for comparison. Here are my observations. The one I ordered is the design without the shoe compartment. It's made of a relatively soft supple NUBUCK leather. Why is this important? Nubuck is buffed and sanded instead of finished with a protective coating, it is highly vulnerable to wear, as well as staining and other potential blemishes. Basically; it absorbs instead of repel stains. So that's something to keep in mind. If you don't want a very worn and possibly stained bag: you will need to make sure to use an industrial quality waterproofing and stain-resistant spray twice a year or so. The other bag, from Aaron Leather, is also buffalo hide but does not have a nubuck finish and is not as supple. But that finish will be easier to protect, so that's something to keep in mind. Construction and design: The strap is padded, and most importantly the bag is relatively lightweight compared to the other one, from Aaron Leather, that I bought. The zipper on this one is stronger and more durable. And the inside lining is a dark brown that will hide stains better. And both bags have similar interior pockets and organization. The stitching is uneven on this bag though. The stitch lengths are variable, which is not something you will see in higher quality bags: stitch lengths on a bag should be even and consistent. This one didn't come with a dust bag, which is something to keep in mind. The Aaron Leather bag did, which is nice. Summary: I prefer this bag to the Aaron Leather bag because of it's weight and the softer leather. But nubuck is too hard to care for, for me. So unfortunately, I will be sending this one back (probably sending both bag). I also prefer the 24 inch size for a weekender. It's more practical. The stitching wasn't a huge consideration. It's a cosmetic versus functional issue and at this price point (under $100) something had to give, which I expected.
