I've got a drawer full of old analog/dial meat thermometers, some decades old. Always scoffed these fancy instant reads - and I cook A LOT, and low and slow bbq A LOT.I finally decided to give one of these a try and wow what a game changer. If you've been resistant to these instant read thermometers just stop and buy this now! Fire up your pit when it arrives and see just how much faster you can get in there, take a temp, and close the pit back up as compared to the slow analog dial thermometer. You loose 5 minutes time checking and what, 20 minutes to get back to temp? I can get in and out whether on a kettle or my stick burner in seconds with this and have almost no temp loss. GET ONE!!!

We already had an “instant read” thermometer from our local kitchen store. When grilling, I’d stick it in the food and wait maybe one minute for the reading to stabilize.Then we got this Adoric and....wow! It’s fairly big, making it easier to handle when wearing oven mitts, it’s magnetic, so it will stay on my grill’s table or our fridge. Pulling out the probe—kind of like opening a folding knife—turns on the thermometer. The probe is long, which keeps my hands away from the grill, and it really seems to read instantly, less than a second. The numbers are readable. And while the instructions warn against prolonged immersion, I have briefly dunked the entire unit without doing it any harm. This even came with an extra battery. Oh, and there’s a bottle opener built in! Using this kind of thermometer has really improved my cooking—fish and other meat can be cooked to perfection, no surprises of raw meat at the dinner table. I really like this one. The only question I haven’t yet resolved is this: if we leave it open, does it automatically turn off so it doesn’t run down the battery?

This meat thermometer is very easy to read and use. I love that it’s a little larger than the last one I had because I was able to check the temperature of the chicken I was cooking without having to take it out of the oven. I really like that it takes regular AAA batteries because the last one too those circle watch batteries and I never had them available when I needed one. Highly recommend this one!

UPDATE: Received the replacement from amazon and it works perfectly. It was clear the minute I opened it that the first one I received wasn't brand new. This had more/better packaging, a whole doneness chart that wasn't in the first one, a small disc to aid in opening the battery slot, and it works perfectly. Not sure why a defective, pre-used one was sent out, but the good news is, an actual new one works great.*********Used this for the first time last night on a fresh-from-the-oven pork roast. But a)it didn't appear to read the temperature correctly, and b)the display didn't... show at the bottom? See photo. I'm arranging for a replacement and will gladly update my review when received, but right now, not super happy.

Great product, works perfectly.....Update!!!...We've now had this thermometer and used it for months now, so we wanted to update our review. This has worked perfectly, with no problems. We have used it in many ways since buying it. Naturally we've used it cooking in many ways, also we've used it to test the true temperature of our BBQ since bbq thermometers are never accurate. Now I know the bbq temperature by sticking the probe into a small hole in the bbq and I know the true general temperature the bbq is at compared to the bbq thermometer. We've used it to test bath water, we also use it to test soil temperatures in our garden in the spring, this assures us that the soil temperature is right to plant. Just found out this morning why our cucumbers are sprouting and growing so slowly, ground temperatures are well below what they need. Great multi use thermometer!!!!

I bought this product because I didn't have one and it doesn't disappoint! The portability of this product is magnificent because it can stick to your fridge or freezer like a magnet and you can easily store it. Cleaning was super easy and the temperature gauge gives off very accurate numbers. My food is now always cooked perfectly without being under or overcooked. It is especially helpful to have the light on it in case your in a dark room or dark scenery and you don't have enough light to see well. This product is great for people who love cooking or people who want to learn to cook. It's helpful when you don't know the temperature an item is supposed to be and you have this device that displays it for you, so you know your getting your money's worth. I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs a new meat thermometer and is looking for a great buy!

For the price you can't go wrong and then it works like it should. I'm a touch and feel cook so I use this to put me in the ball park ....pick up, it's on fast and gives reading in seconds....I have never used one before like i said always been a touch and feel and cut to see cook but got an air fryer and sometimes just makes it easier learning the timing curve to use this if there is a bigger better one then this and more expensive then be my guest but this little guy works great oh and got little magnet in the back for hanging on fridge or whatever you feel like😎

I was surprised to see how large the thermometer was when I opened it. I have had similar types int he past and they have not been as large and the display was often hard to read. This display is very large with crisp, very legible numbers.I also like it because it shuts off when you close it. Simple but nice feature. The less you have to fumble with buttons, the better.Comes with a replacement battery and tool to open the casing.I like this so much I will be purchasing a second as a spare in case this one ever dies. Highly recommend this product.

It's compact, waterproof, accurate and the built-in magnet means easy storage. The only con is the temperature markings... Could have been laid out better.It's a must-have in any kitchen, especially if you are like me and tend to forget how long something has been cooking for :)

The media could not be loaded.  Arrived today with no spare battery but looks & feels good, haven’t tried it out yet

Bought this as it's waterproof, after going through 3 in as many months from being left on wet kitchen counters! Auto-on feature is brilliant when juggling hot dishes. Reads temperature very quickly. Magnet is not strong enough to hold it up though.

Never worked once. Tried changing the battery and pressed all the buttons - nothing. Complete waste of time and money.

This meat thermometer makes it simpler to check food temps for safety. It turns on automatically when the pin is pulled out. The readings have been accurate so far as I used another one to measure as well and both gave the same reading. The light up display is also bright enough to make it easy enough to read.
