I honestly didn’t think a white noise machine would make this much of a difference, but this one has been amazing. My neighbor recently had a baby, and with the crying during the night, my sleep was getting pretty rough. Since getting this sound machine, I’ve been sleeping so much better. The sound quality is surprisingly good, and there are plenty of sound options to choose from depending on what helps you relax most. I usually keep it on one of the white noise settings, and it blocks outside noise really well without being too loud or distracting. The volume control is great too since you can adjust it exactly how you like. It’s simple to use, compact, and looks nice on the nightstand. I’ve honestly never slept so well. Definitely one of those small purchases that makes a huge difference. Highly recommend!

Updating 12/18/2022. A year in, this sound machine is really driving me up the wall. A very annoying squeaky little repetition that I had only briefly noticed when it played specific tracks has now become a chronic problem I've detected in all the tracks that I usually play - the squeak repeats around every 15 seconds or less, and I think it is creating stress as now I find myself sitting there just waiting for it. So it definitely loops and quickly becomes a distraction once you notice it. Sadly, this will be heading for the tech recycling depot. I also own an ASTI Sound&Sleep that never loops and has no defective squeaking issues, but did not feel like investing that much in another unit for use in another room, which is the reason that I decided to buy this cheap-y unit. So as a compromise, I've just ordered a Lectrofan EVO which I believe is also an ASTI offering. The Lectrofan brand has been around for a long time. It has many positive reviews, was recommended by a wonderful blogger whose opinions I trust, and it costs much less than the Sound & Sleep. I'm sure it will prove to be a far superior sound machine without the high price tag of the ASTI. -- Loved this right out of the box. It's tiny, solid black, and square, a nice, unobtrusive, minimal and clean design. It includes white, pink, pink/brown and a brown noise track, and for many of the others sounds, they offer different levels/types of sound, like a little rain or a heavier one, a little fire, a medium fire, or a wildfire. I am not sure about that 32 levels of volume claim; but it will get loud enough so that I don't hear the sound of car doors slamming outside on the street all day long, and the quality of the sound is pretty great considering it's low price tag. I first ordered a Homedics sound machine that, despite it's insanely high ratings, had the most awful sound quality on each of the measly six options, which grated on the ear and was pretty hard to imagine anything being lulled to sleep listening to that harsh static. Unlike a very similar one from Magicteam, this does not have an unattractive blue stripe and goes well with anything. A thoughtful little booklet accompanies the unit, which lists out all of the sounds it offers. Scroll through using the forward/backward buttons. Coming from someone who uses the much costlier Adaptive SoundTechnologies Sound+Sleep machine, I was happily surprised that I could get such a good sound quality of something so much cheaper.

Anytime you buy something like this, it can be a gamble; but not this time. This machine is very good, and simple to use. The sound quality is excellent, and realistic, especially for its size. I bought it for my Godmother who was having issues with occasional ear ringing and trouble sleeping. Well, I'm pleased to report, this has helped her immensely. She began sleeping so comfortably on the very first night, and didn't get up to 10 am, which is very unusual for her. I'm not saying has cured anything, but she's happy with it, and so am I. Hopefully it will last with care, and continue to function properly.

I bought the other version this seller offers, same brand but a little cheaper. One of my kids spilled water in it so I had to order another sound machine. I decided to try this one and were happy with it and use it every single night and nap for my 1yr old. We also sleep with a floor fan but I have 4 kids and it’s super busy at our house so this sound machine helps tremendously drown out background noise and our baby sleeps sooo much better. This machine has so many different options for different sounds/music, it feels durable and not cheap, and does its job well. My ONLY complaint is I use one of the white noise/box fan type sounds and the volume could be just a little higher. The other machine was higher but it does the job and we definitely are going to keep it! We leave ours on continuously through naps and the night so make sure you read the directions how to do so if that’s what you’re wanting because I thought it was marked on the machine but it’s not but it’s super simple to do.

I was not sure what I would like btu after reading a lot of reviews and some best of articles this one was one of my choices. This one fared well in the articles and now I see why. The others I got included the smaller more compact version of this Magicteam that has the buttons on the side and is smaller, the Housby, and the DreamSky one. (Picked the DreamSky just because I have some of their clocks and like them.) This one was was easily my favorite of the 4 for several reasons. 1. Good selection of sounds (most of all 4) with decent sound quality. 2. Buttons are a good side and not a lot of annoying LEDS (none on the side) as I like adark room. 3. I like this form factor (with all buttons and LED's facing up) better than the round ones. The others are OK but if I were buying just one again it would be this one. I'm using 3 of them now with them scattered around the room. I may buy another of these for a guest bedroom. Occasionally I only run one and that one is this one. It has a piano? tune I was surpised I liked and it puts me out pretty quickly turned down low. The sound variety is very good and the quality of it is as good as anyof the 4. I have an interstate not far from my house (1/2 mile) and this helps mask out the jake brakers which give me some extreme aggressive tendences on which I shall speak no more. Yep don't get me started on them.

I had ordered this sleep machine to replace my old one that had broke. I live downstairs from noisy neighbors and I needed that hummm sound without the wind of a fan to sleep. When I received this one I plugged it in and it turned on with the blue light but had no sound at all. I hesitated about returning it and getting my money back or returning it and getting a replacement with the same one. I'm glad I gave this one a second chance! I love the sound machine. I get a real smooth Zen sleep from it!

I have been using a white noise machine for a couple of years, but that one was limited to 6 different sound choices. What attracted me to this Magicteam model was its much larger sound selection. There are about 40 different choices ranging from water effects to nature sounds to pure white noise and even gentle music. The unit is programmable. I can set it to play for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or all night. The machine does a great job of masking other sounds from inside and outside the house. It really has helped me get to sleep faster and sleep more soundly. I'm very glad I bought it.

I use this along with an air cleaner in my bedroom. Air cleaner on one side of the room and this here over near my door. If you purchase two of these, you’ll block out all sound from neighbors lawnmowers or just your own dogs that may bark. It also drowns out all outdoor noise, such as rain, thunderstorms, etc. the loudest volume is pretty loud and you probably don’t want it sitting right next to your bed on the highest volume setting! These are the loudest little white noise boxes that I found so far. They just plug-in that’s it. You have continuous that shuts off when you shut it off or you have the timer. I’ve had this for quite a while now and it works perfectly. I’ve never had an issue with it , I purchased one for my son’s room also. I cannot sleep in a total silent room or with just something real low. It has to be loud enough to drowned out any other possible noises. I like that this unit has one of the sound features that pairs up almost exactly with my council air cleaner that’s in the room also! Now it just sounds like I have two huge air cleaners going! So I sleep like a baby. And this is small enough you can pack it in a suitcase or even carry it in your purse if you’re going to stay at a relatives house or going to be in a motel or travel. These are wonderful well well worth the price! I would purchase again and probably will, as I’ll purchase one to put in my dogs Sleeping room, So they don’t bark over every little sound! Lol

I’ve had zero issues with it — reliable every single night. The build quality feels solid for the price and it’s compact enough to take anywhere.
