Cute Story and Very Informative
I bought this book for my nephew, as he lives in a very diverse area. I wanted him to learn about Diwali so when his friends talk about it, he has an understanding of what it is and how it is celebrated. I thought this book was very creative in it's storyline and informative with the pronunciation/meaning guide. There are also comments throughout the story that provide more context related to the pages. I really enjoy the illustrations as they are full of beautiful colors. I would highly recommend this book. Thanks Anitha for writing this, so my family could be educated in this festive and fun holiday. I hope to attend a Diwali celebration in the future!

Great kids' book about India
I love to learn about the traditions of other cultures and India is a favorite of mine. This is a wonderful book for young children and their parents. I loved the pictures and the whole content!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

No, where is Sita in the story?
The story doesn't include Sita in the story, or WHY Ram fought Ravana. What the reason for the 'fight' was... my toddler (3.5 years old) likes to hear the Rama Sita story and she asked me why didn't Ravana take Sita???I ordered 2 books, this one and Let's Celebrate 5 Days of Diwali featuring Maya and Neel by Ajanta Chakraborty - Very good book and shows illustrations beautifully. This book lacked vital information and the illustrations were dull and plain in comparison.

The pages are all out of order
This book is a mess. The pages are out of order…. And can’t even be unstapled and resorted because pages are printed on the back of others where they don’t belong. I was excited to get this and am just totally disappointed.
