(Review pertains to the 2020 edition from Digireads.com Publishing)As a Catholic I've been drawn to the writings of Ellen G. White because of the Adventists' focus on diet and lifestyle intervention. By following an Adventist lifestyle, scientific studies have shown that the average American can add approximately ten years to his life! This added longevity is largely attributed to White's teachings, which made me believe she had a prophetic quality to her.Steps to Christ may add infinite 'years' to your spiritual life. It's the type of book where every sentence is so persuasive and meaningful that you'll be tempted to highlight the entire text. Every word is worth clinging to, but I feel this book does a far better job in two areas than any other spiritual work I've ever read. Firstly, that the presence of God and His love for humans is revealed in the beauty of nature. And secondly, that the worship of God should be a joyful exercise!It's worth purchasing the physical copy. Just holding the work seems to awaken the yearning for God in my soul. I think that's well worth the roughly 10 cents per page you'll be paying for the paperback copy.

STEPS -- how many does it take to complete a lifetime? Or to achieve unity with Jesus? One, of course, the first one. And I've become friends with dozens of the descendants of the author, many of whom have incorporated these "Steps to Christ" in their lives. I can tell you that these steps change people to be more Christlike, loving and devoted Christians. Reading and re-reading this book, I too am drawn closer to my Savior and Friend. Over more than a century now, thousands like me have testified to the same uplifting power in the message of this book.First, we learn of God's unbridled love for humanity and our individual need as sinners for Christ. That comes through repentance, confession, consecration, faith and acceptance. But then we grow in Christ through discipleship and deepening our love of God and His Word. Prayer--it becomes a privilege for us. What about doubt, though? You'll discover how that's part of the steps to Christ.As a poet, I've found the writing in this book to be rhythmic and filled with stirring images. Here's just one example: "As the flower turns to the sun, that the bright beams may aid in perfecting its beauty and symmetry, so should we turn to the Sun of Righteousness, that heaven's light may shine upon us, that our character may be developed into the likeness of Christ."

For anyone who wants a Bibical focus on the transformation of Faith.

This book explains a lot of things from the Bible and it uses the Bible verses. It had changed my life because I'm asking God to help me out these things in to practice.

Some people liken 7th day adventists to JWs or Mormons, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Don’t let the world deceive you! I am not an Adventist but would argue that anyone who bases their views off of the Bible would agree with them on just about everything, certainly everything that matters for salvation and having a healthy relationship with Christ.

This book opens your heart and mind to our tremendous need for salvation from our sin and even ourselves. It relates how a loving God has provided a means of redemption, salvation and eternal hope to each and everyone! It also helps guide us into a close communion and dependance on Christ to carry us to that glorious eternal destiny promised by God through Jesus Christ!

I had some big decisions to make and had no idea where to turn. I wanted to follow God's leading, but wasn't sure how to recognize it. A pastor suggested this book to me.To know that Jesus loves you enough to guide your steps with love and help is so soothing to me. It's not me wondering what I'm doing, its being led by my Creator who knows exactly where I should be in life.

I’ve read this book in the past and it changed my life forever. I was in a system of beliefs that threatened me with hell. It made me believe God was vengeful, judgmental, and ready to torture me forever. After reading this book the love of God flowed into my heart and changed the way I view Him.

This is one of the best book about Jesus. It talk about Gods love for man and how He wants to be present in our life daily. God reviled Himself through Jesus and His life on this earth. God knows us very, very well and He wants us to have a life abundantly not to just live but to have a best live. From this book I learn how to understand sin and what to do with it. It really give us a very good advice how to overcome sin. I will recommend this book to everyone who want to have the best life on this earth and for ever.

This book is an excellent read to all those who are troubled and are longing to find peace of mind. It is inspired, for it goes to the heart of man's greatest need. In simple steps it takes you to the very throne of grace. Thank God for the pen of EGW
