I bought two of these to put under my cat’s dishes and love them. They don't make his bowls slip and when he splashes his water over it, it keeps it within the mat. They are easy to clean and dry pretty quickly! The size it perfect for his water fountain, automatic feeder and a bowl for this wet food!

I have three dogs that range in all sizes. I have used a mat under the water bowl for years and somehow my floors are always wet there. I have hard wood floors so this is destroying them. I decided to try this and the problem is solved. I wanted something with a low edge so I didn't trip on it. In the two weeks I have had I have zero water on my floors. It keeps my bowls in place as well. It's easy to clean, flexible and a great value for the money.

It is what is says - easy to clean and water resistant so there is that. However the 'height' and 'raised edge' is misleading, at least to me. The height, total, is 1/4 of an inch - the raised edge is 1/8 of an inch at best. I have a 60 lb. dog on prednisone, so lots of drinking. Even working at home and sopping up around the water dish 3-5 x/day, it still ran over, spilling on to the floor AND underneath the mat. If your intent is to keep kibble in one spot (?) or a ten-pound dog that is a tad messy when drinking, this should work for you. I do like the quality, just cannot get over a 1/8th inch 'raised edge'. Will be giving away and looking for something similar that meets our needs.
