B.I.G. Natural Pre Shave Oil, 60 ml

This is a fairly thick, castor based oil which can leave a deposit on the sink after shaving. If using a multi blade cartridge rather than a double edge or straight razor it may well be advisable to clean the head by rubbing it in reverse direction strokes on a piece of coarse cloth or denim to remove the oil which builds up between the blades. The main drawback to this oil is the quite astonishngly high cost for such a small bottle. Castor oil itself is relatively inexpensive so I'm not sure which ingredient causes the cost. I'll not be spending this much again on this ptoduct.

This is a first class product. For people who haven't used shave oil before, the big benefit I've noticed of applying shave oil before shave cream is that the razor goes over your face much more smoothly than with shave cream alone. I found that as a result I got a much neater shave with no rough patches.I use a DE safety razor and have experimented with different blades. I found that the addition of this shave oil made a much bigger difference to the quality and consistency of shaves than any attempts to find the perfect blade.If you use a shave brush, the oil will get into the brush bristles and you'll have to clean the brush more thoroughly. You'll also need to clean the basin or bath more frequently. That's a tiny price to pay for a much smoother and more satisfying shave.

Excellent product, i recently went back to using a double edge safety razor and the old style shaving cream, i combined this product in my new shave cycle and i am very impressed indeed.The Pre-Shave definately enhances the smoothness of shave for me, and I am more than pleased with it, will definately order more when the time comes :)

Used this a couple of times now on a thick growth that would normally cause me getting a few nicks. Get a really smooth shave so far, and very very minimal irritation or nicks. I would say it does what it says it should do and would recommend the product. I use a double edge razor, just in case that helps in decision making.

I have always had a red raw neck after shaving, regardless of what shaving cream or oil I used. A small dab of this pre shave oil goes a long way, and it really does help to reduce the razor burn and irritation on my neck and chin. Definitely recommended.
