If you’ve been pricing rope baskets, then you know that they cost more than you’d expect. These are a TERRIFIC deal. They are very sturdy, and stand up by themselves. To soften the crease from shipping, just stuff with pillows. Maybe lightly spritz the outside with water.— There’s a real difference in size. The small one is good for a dozen face cloths and the large one is good for rolled bath towels.— In my case, the small one holds 12 of the dog’s balls, and the large one holds his many other toys—5 plush dolls, plus 3 thick rope tug toys and 3 rings. (I ordered another set for doggie treats and gear! Yes, he’s spoiled.)— The large one could hold a small load of laundry, but not a large load.— I ordered a third set for stuff by the door—hats, gloves, scarves.I haven’t tried washing them, and the one with clean towels or scarves may never need to be washed. But I’d be careful. In the past, I’ve washed rope rugs with poor results. The rope is quite strong, but the stitches that hold it together are thin. Rope goods are very heavy when wet, and tumbling in a dryer can pull them apart. I suggest a passive approach: soak, rinse, and gently squeeze. Put them in the sun to dry.

This is the 3rd Little Hippo basket I've bought. These baskets are great. They are not only attractive and sturdy but you get a free small basket of the same design with each one you order. I'm so happy with them I haven't even considered other brands so I can't make a comparison. I use mine as laundry hampers but they could be used for other types of storage. The other 2 are larger but I wish I had gotten all 3 in this size; nevertheless I'll find a use for all of them. If the need arises I won't hesitate to buy more Little Hippo's.

These are really nice baskets. They open up and hold their shape well, provided there is something inside. I haven't quite gotten all of the creases out yet, but haven't really tried hard since the toys (when inside) hold it open. We use the bigger one for Lego Duplo blocks under a block table and the small one for a diaper changing table. The baskets only smell like a natural fiber (they ARE cotton!) so I'm not sure what smell other reviewers are talking about; even the plastic bag it comes in doesn't smell. Overall these seem durable and are great for hard wood floors since they won't scratch. There isn't a tag that says where they are made, but I'm thinking it's probably China...unfortuantely. I also wish this brand made multiple sizes in the SAME style/color, because I wanted a medium and larger size to coordinate with this style, not a totally different style.

These have been a very useful purchase. I use the small basket to hold clean masks on the table in my entry, and the large one is perfect for discretely collecting main floor (kitchen and powder room) laundry to be taken to the laundry room on another floor. They're attractive enough to fit in with our decor and not attract attention to themselves, which is perfect for the uses we've assigned them.My only frustration-and it is a pretty minor frustration- is that the large basket has yet to take on a rounded shape, stubbornly clinging to the flattened shape it was shipped in.

I had every single one of these baskets I use them in my bathroom on the shelves to put odds and ends in I use them for dog toy baskets are great for laundry baskets I've got the great big Navy one full of pillows they are all over my apartment I love them because they are soft and Squishy and you can just put anything in them anywhere including toilet paper in your bathroom

I bought it for my son’s nursery and it’s really cute. It came flat so i put a few pillows inside both of them for a day 1/2 and they were round in the beginning but it lost its shape. But at least they stand up straight, it’s just not round. Doesn’t bother me though. I still think they’re cute and it holds the perfect amount of laundry for my washer. And the small one i use to put wipes and diapers Ext.. I’m obsessed with it! So much easier than going to the room to get what i need. I just bring the little basket to what ever room I’m relaxing in with the baby and it’s so convenient. I took pictures next to pampers box so you can see the sizing

we really enjoy the look and feel of these. I don’t carry anything in then like the girl in the picture was doing, they simply set on our shelves etc. that being said we really like them.

Great quality baskets... i have used small one for my blow dryer and the big one for praying mat and wipes that i normally put on the floor. Really happy with my purchase. I was meant to receive it by 10th of July. However, I received them today on the 29th of June. Really happy with my purchase.
