Great way to brighten dull gray or silver hair. Leave on for 5 minutes for the most shine. The deep purple color may seem off putting, but it's not a problem. My hair feels clean and soft after washing. The smell is lovely and subtle.

if you have your hair to the brownish to reddish tint, your gray will not be white. It will be dull looking.

I have silver gray hair. This purple shampoo is my favorite. Has been for many years. Makes my hair sparkle. I receive many compliments very often when I'm out and about. I have well water, so which has atendency to yellow my silver gray, this shampoo takes all the yellow out. I also have super fine thin hair, but after shampooing my hair has beautiful full body also. I Love it, only brand of Pantene I use. Along with the Pantene for Silver cream rinse. Both prdducts are top quality products.Shampoo bottle has easy to use hand pump that delivers the perfect amount of shampoo. The cream rinse tube is easy to use also.The only problem you can't find smaller bottles in the stores anymore. The larger bottle does last a long time which is convenient.

I am finally getting low enough on my Clariol Shimmer Lights shampoo and conditioner that I could justify ordering a replacement product for my shower niche. This product had good reviews and I've always been happy with Pantene products, so I thought I'd give it a shot.To begin, I ordered it with several other products (including the large blue bottle of hair/body wash in the one photo) and am happy to report it arrived in perfect condition inside the Amazon Prime box. Also, this shampoo had an interesting sticker (see photo) to help reduce/eliminate the product spilling inside the box during shipping. The label was easy enough to remove, though it is very sticky and tight, most likely to keep the bottle from opening and spilling out during transit. My advice is to go slowly removing it and it will come off without affecting the label itself on the shampoo bottle.I've used the product already and just love the scent. It's wonderful! It lingers very lightly and nicely on the hair once its dry, afterwards. I didn't use a conditioner, but my hair felt silky and soft once it dried, afterwards. Can't comment on the silver brightening in my hair (I'm a silver sable), yet, but the shampoo itself is a wonderful silky liquid soap consistency that goes where it's supposed to and lathers up very nicely. That was a complaint I had with my original shampoo & conditioner (named earlier) in that they were thicker like a semi-soft custard and for me, more product would slide off my hand and between my fingers onto the shower floor before I could get it on to my head and in my hair.I love the pump applicator on this product and that it's an incredible value for what it is. My other product was a squeeze dispenser and was always getting blocked as well as being much more expensive.I've always like Pantene products and was so happy to find this on Amazon. The economic value and delivery to my door are both winners in my book, too. Overall I'm very pleased and highly recommend!

Although many have said that this shampoo works well I am finding that my hair is not returning to a normal state of white. Although our water is from a well it is filtered three times and I don’t use it daily. I have also used it after swimming and it does work well for removal of chlorine and cleaning it just doesn’t work well to “whiten” my hair. Sadly I can’t recommend this shampoo for use.

I love this shampoo for my silver hair. I use Pantene hair products so when I saw this I knew I needed to try this. I have tried other shampoo s for my grays but they are nothing compared to this Pantene shampoo making the hair look so bright without leaving any purple residue. Love it!!

Great product. Have used Pantene products for many years, and this one did not disappoint. I have problem hair now that it has started to significantly go gray, so I'm extra happy with this product.
